This was a Christmas gift for my 8 year old son. He loved it! It lights up from within the wheel when in motion. So cool! It's heavy and durable...which is good considering my 8 year old will be crashing it, letting it fall on the ground and surely mishandled like all toys. However, its equipped with a (hopefully utilized) kick stand. Didnt have one on mine when I was a kid, we just let it fall. This scooter can be folded in half and the handle bars pull out of the main vertical bar and become parallel with the deck. Yes, scooters have been storage and travel friendly for years. We love the big wheels as they tend to ride on bumpy terrain and these glide over things the regular razor wheels would catch on. My 8 and 10 year-old use them extensively and it's great that they won't outgrow them anytime soon. They also have longer-than-average feet so the larger foot-bed makes riding more comfortable. I really like my A5 Lux! It helps cut down the time spent traveling for a couple mile trip. It makes it easier for people who want a relatively short-distance transportation option to travel a bit farther, a bit faster. I can scoot a mile in about 8 minutes I think? I would be walking 20 minutes per mile if I didn't use the scooter instead. For people who want to go to a location within a few miles of their home (a bus stop, grocery store, coffee shop, etc.), this is a fun way to help save time while getting some exercise. I like that I can push the folding mechanism to fold the scooter quickly when I need to. I do notice that if I am carrying heavy items in my bag (up to 20 lbs) it does slow me down a little and I notice an increase in the drag in the wheels. I prefer to use the scooter for short, 2-mile round trips, but perhaps others are more ambitious and would go further with the scooter. I live in an area with some smooth sidewalks and few bumps/cracks where I am able to use the scooter. I wouldn't recommend this scooter for urban settings with bumpy, cracked sidewalks or rough asphalt. This scooter is loud over cracks and bumps in the ground which can be embarrassing, besides the fact that it feels unrideable over rough surfaces. My hands do get stiff from holding the handles tight and the vibration from the ground. I like that the wheels are light up, but the lights aren't super bright and I don't notice them much at all. ... show more

Got this for my 10 year old to size up from the little kid Razor scooter. It folds up very quickly and easily. The light-up wheels are less spectacular than we were imagining and only show up when it's pitch dark, which is a less ideal time to scooter, but the large wheel size is everything we hoped for! The position of the board below the axle of the wheels makes for a very stable feeling ride and the handlebars adjust to a height that works for me at 5'11". The kickstand leaves a lot to be desired--the way it tucks up makes it difficult to engage and would be nice if it could be optionally put on either side of the scooter for those of us who are stronger right-footed than left. The longer board length is nice for bigger kid feet (10 yo wears women's size 6 shoes) but still feels awkward for large adult feet. I think if I was commuting with this, I'd want a hand brake, but it's great for around the neighborhood, and I would definitely use this scooter myself if I didn't have to fight the kid for it. ... show more

Love this razor scooter! The larger wheels makes going over uneven terrain easier. The adjustable height makes it both assessable to my child AND myself! Was this a gift for them, or me? Maybe me...Very sturdy, easy to collapse and compact enough to bring on in car and wagon.
