With a limited budget and mainly riding around campus, I chose this model—and it turned out to be an absolute steal! The top speed is just right for campus and the surrounding area; it’s efficient without being so fast that it’s hard to control, and that feeling of flying through the air is just amazing. The tires glide smoothly over flat asphalt, and the scooter is lightweight—a girl can easily carry it up to her dorm with just one hand. The battery life is more than enough to get me back and forth between the library, the cafeteria, and my dorm for several days. With around 170 pounds total load (which includes my backpack), this just goes about 6 miles in town. Manufacturer says this does not do regenerative stops (does not use the motor as dynamo to charge scooter when you slowdown). Suggest to get a scooter which can do regenerative stops, but was told that most such low-cost scooters do not do regenerative stops: a few extra electric components are required to boost the dynamo voltage (which is speed-dependent) up to the LiFePo4 voltage to do regenerative stops. 18mph does not sound fast if you are used to automotives, but it feels very fast if you are on a scooter. You should use approved pads to cushion your joints+head.

I am thoroughly impressed with this HopCycle adult electric scooter. The larger motor delivers strong performance and the 18 mile per hour top speed is perfect for getting where I need to go efficiently. It handles hills better than I anticipated and the suspension keeps the ride comfortable even on rougher pavement. The scooter is lightweight enough to carry when needed yet stable at higher speeds. Battery life is solid and the display is clear and easy to read. If you are looking for a dependable everyday scooter this one is excellent and worth every penny.

I’ve been using this electric scooter for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with it. It was very easy to set up right out of the box — it only took a few minutes to unfold and start riding. The scooter accelerates smoothly and has plenty of power for everyday commuting. The battery life is also impressive. I can ride for several trips before needing to recharge, which is really convenient. Charging time is reasonable as well. Another thing I like is how lightweight and foldable it is. It’s easy to carry and store, especially if you need to bring it inside or put it in a car. The build quality feels solid and the ride is stable even on slightly uneven roads.
