  • I'm in Love with These!
Style: Nommo Chroma
Way to go, Razer! I love these speakers! First, let's talk about the RGB, just to get that out of the way. I love it. It's customizable, it looks great, and it's something that I incorporate into every part of my build whenever possible. Is it worth the extra money compared to the Nommo? That's up to you to decide! Now, let's talk about the size. For what they are, I thought they'd take up more space on my desk than they do. I'm able to fit them onto my already crowded desk with ease, position them to where I want them, and still be able to reach the control knobs, hear them well, etc. They're perfect in my scenario. How do they sound though? Honestly; pretty damn good! I wasn't expecting them to sound as good as I think they do. I'd watched several reviews on YouTube before purchasing, so I knew they had a good sound quality, but it honestly is better than I expected, especially when it comes to the bass. It can be easily adjusted with the bass knob on the base of the right speaker, and it's very boomy when it's turned all the way up. It doesn't drown out the mids or highs though, which come through very well at all volume levels and bass levels. Nice and crisp! These honestly are amazing to me, and I think anyone would be happy with them if they're already thinking about getting them. They're not Sennheiser level of sound quality, but for being made by a company that makes products for gaming, these do well in all scenarios; games, movies and music! ... show more

  • Crisp and Clear Sound
Style: Nommo Chroma
I have recently jumped on the Razer band wagon; mouse, keyboard, etc... Sadly, my old trusty pair of Logitech speakers finally kicked the bucket and it was time to find a replacement. I was leery of buying these speakers at this price point, especially with the mixed reviews, but I took the gamble on them because of how much I've enjoyed their other products. I've had them for a couple months now and I haven't had a single issue with the sound. Having come from a speaker set up that had a subwoofer, I was worried about the bass but these speakers put out a good amount of it. Especially when gaming or watching a movie. I think the only "con" I can muster is that they're fairly large in stature, if you're gaming on a small desk these may not be the best option because they do take up a fair amount of real estate. All in all, if you want some good looking speakers that pack a punch and add a touch of light to your desk, I would absolutely recommend these speakers. ... show more

  • These are very large.
Style: Nommo
I don’t think pictures really convey how large the speakers are, but the audio quality is superb and thankfully my computer monitor is large enough to offset the large speaker canisters nicely.

  • Good value for the money. Don’t expect greatness if you’re an audiophile
Style: Nommo Chroma
First off - various reviews tank this product on sound quality, etc. These are not the greatest sounding speakers you will have ever heard - but they are of decent quality for the price, and aesthetic. High points: - Looks: looks are subjective but part of the reason I got these is for how they look. They’re interesting pieces on my desk - and the rgb is a nice touch. My units LEDs are not as hard to see as other people say. - Bass heavy: this is a win for me but may be a detractor based on your use case - Loud: these things can put out more than you would expect - I was surprised. Would be decent for a small get together at your house. Low points: - Equalizer: there are presets but no proper equalizer to speak of. Not unheard of at this price point but would be nice to have - Sturdyness: I would take extra care where you place these. The struts that hold the main unit up don’t inspire confidence. If you knocked these off your desk they would almost surely break. Other than that? Be reasonable with expectations. A large part of the price is paying for a brand and aesthetic. The speakers while decent, are not going to blow you away. If you’re expecting these to be Klipsch, Bose, or Sony level you shouldn’t. ... show more

  • Great 2.0 speakers, they even have bass
Style: Nommo
The first thing I listened to after hooking up these new speakers amazed me. I went from a $30 or $40 2.1 setup from Logitech which was ok, but never impressed me much, it was just a first step up from the ones built into my monitor. I figured going from those to the Nommo here I would gain some sound quality but lose the bass from the subwoofer in the Logitech set, but that wasn't the case at all. Amazingly, whether this was a failure on Logitech's part or some fancy engineering on Razer's, the Nommos without the sub actually have more bass! I only have the bass dial at about 50% and it's plenty for me. People that really like to feel the thump in their chest will probably still need a subwoofer, but for everyone else, these are amazing. Pros: The volume range goes from a whisper to cringing loud all through the built in volume knob, and having an off position is nice. As I pointed out already, the bass control knob is also really nice, and noon or about 50% sounded best to me. The option to have aux in beyond the normal input is a nice option, though I will probably never use it. Headphone passthrough is also handy so that you probably won't have to change any volume settings on your pc. I really like the rather understated aesthetic, just simple shapes and all black. Cons: Like some others have said, they are quite big. This no doubt allows for the impressive bass performance, but it also makes my desk feel a bit cramped. It would be nice for the cord connecting the two speakers to be detachable during setup so I could deal with one at a time. This is pretty minor, but having all the ports on the back makes it challenging to plug or unplug headphones. ... show more
