  • Best Productivity Labtop you can buy
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
Work in IT and build computers, was looking for a solid machine for coding, running live DJ shows, music production, video editing and some light gaming. You can get these specs for a bit cheaper and will be able to do about the same things, but let me just outline what makes this computer different: -great 1080p screen that is 16:10 which gives you that extra vertical space that makes it feel like a 14inch -great cooling system, on idle browsing chrome and web the fans wont even kick on which is exactly what I was looking for -2 thunderbolt usb c charging ports and only needs 65 watt charger which is super compact -good battery life, about 10 hours browsing or 4 hours video editing, and also because it only needs 65 watts, there are portable power banks that can deliver 65 watts that easily fit in a backpack and can make this machine easily last any kind of drive or flight -can still do some games, can play league of legends at 60fps, cant really do any kind of call of duty though -pair this with an egpu and you will get the best of both worlds, portability and gaming I was having a ton of issues at the beginning, as most reviews were saying, but easy fix -uninstall everything razer and synapse -run Intel® Driver & Support Assistant from the web After that, no issues, it looks cool, good performance, it works with windows 11, happy with the machine. ... show more

  • Works great with Fedora 34
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
The build quality of this laptop is phenomenal. Battery life is great, and best thing is that Fedora works perfect, touch screen and all! There's a small issue with the screen though, refresh rate is not great OOB, you have to manually disable PSR in the kernel, look up for i915.enable_psr setting. Change that to 0 and problem solved. Windows on the other hand, works flawlessly as expected. ... show more

  • Let me save some of you a lot of grief
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
First off let me say I am in the IT business and have used and tested quite a few laptops over the last few years and I will say this one hits almost all the right buttons. Its small, premium look and feel with the aluminum design, has a great screen (which I was afraid of since I am somewhat of a screen snob) and honestly pretty decent battery life. Now the reason I am sending this back is there is an issue with the new Intel graphics driver with the Iris xe chips. This appears to be an Intel issue as people with the new Dell XPS (has the same screen panel and same Intel chips) are complaining as well. The screen will intermittently go black and when it comes back the colors and brightness will be off for a few seconds. it can go for 30 minutes just fine and then will crash 3 times in the next 5 minutes. You never know and it is just really irritating. I ran the diags and it is telling me the video driver is crashing. It crashed 9 times in an hour on me when I was running the log. Now I reinstalled Windows from scratch, twice, went to the Intel site and tried the latest drivers, and tried every setting on and off in the intel control panel and nothing is working. I am not saying this is Razers fault here and I absolutely love everything else about this laptop but its a business laptop and I have to have this stable in order to do work. I dont care about gaming on this at all as I have a gaming rig for that, but there is zero excuse for Intel to put out trash like this in the year 2020. This chipset should NEVER have come to market if there is not a stable driver for it so at this point the laptop is going back and I am going to take a hard look at Apple which really sucks. Sorry for the negative post on such a great machine and Kudos to Razer for making this device but man this si so dissapointing. ... show more

  • Fantastic! Buuuuuut.....
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
Great laptop for work. Portable light and awesome battery life. BUT! Maybe it's bc of the Intel Iris on board graphics, the laptop doesn't seem to cooperate well with Razer's external gpu enclosure. Both the chroma and the non chroma version gpu enclosures will give you the dreaded BSOD at least twice during the day. Even tried messing around with the nvidia drivers for my 2060 gpu and intels iris drivers. At least it forces me to get more work done at the office rather than playing a game here and there. ... show more

  • Best work laptop I ever had.
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
I use this laptop for work and music only. The battery life has a decent 8-9 hour per charge. Half an hour charge gives you around 36%. The RGB keyboard is very nice, and the razer software (when installed correctly) runs flawless on any Razer product. I love having a laptop with an HDMI port, which gives me an extra screen when I need to multi-task. Put it on a lap desk (as pictured for example), and your golden. Reminder: -Thunderbolt 4 is not USB-C, even if its the same shape it wont work. -Don't game on this, unless you get the EGPU unit that is sold separately. -M.2 hard-drive is upgradable to 2tb. -Both Thunderbolt 4 ports are charging ports ... show more

  • Good, not great
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
Well designed, solid build construction. The keyboard has a nice tactile but is slightly shallow. The touchpad is firm with a solid thump for a click, though the surface is a tad rough. Unfortunately the fans are on nearly constantly, even when not doing anything. This makes it pretty annoying to use in a quiet office. When the fans aren't on, there is a slight coil whine but it's not terrible. The included Razer software for managing the keyboard is terrible. I just wanted it to be a solid white color like a normal non-gaming machine and the software was so slow and awkward to use. I think Razer should make the software for its non-gaming Razerbook series much more simple and easier to use. If you actually want blinking keyboard lights to match your music on your "professional" computer, go download their more complex software. ... show more

  • Perfect for music production with good cpu
Style: 1920 x1200 FHD+ | 256GB PCIe M.2
Been using it for strictly music production and it’s flawless. The processor speed is crazy and CPU is awesome for my needs. It’s got plenty of ports and being able to charge on either side is pretty cool. I do suggest getting either a new ssd or external hard drives. Other than that it’s a perfect laptop for my situation. Bottom line it’s basically a windows equivalent to a mac book pro 13 inch ... show more
