  • Great gaming laptop
CPU: RTX3050 Ti
Excellent little gaming comp. I've had this machine for over a year and I game on it almost daily. I can run most my games ( mmo,s like Rift, SWTOR and others) on Max video settings. When I bought it the price was lower ( about 550.00). I upgraded to 32g gram bit there isn't a lot of storage so I'm going to upgrade that. I just came across a game that I have to run on all the lowest settings (Oblivion remastered) so I ordered an external card for that (8gb) and plug it into the thunderbolt slot, we shall see if that helps. Other than that one game this things been great. No issues, no overheating and no shutdowns. Beware of two things, If you crank up the fans they are loud and the sound speakers are terrible. But i use headphone so that point is mute for me. Good machine. ... show more

  • Perfect for Video Editors
CPU: RTX3050 Ti
Let me start with my job turned me on to using high powered laptop’s plugged into docking stations for productivity. This is awesome because you can take your projects with you. I use the Nitro for video editing (4k 60fps) with Adobe Premiere Pro for youtube content. This thing remders 30 min 4k vids in LESS THAN 25 minutes. My old pc took an hour and would fail at times. It runs three dell 32in monitors no problem. I suspect it will run most games spectacularly. Though you may have to adjust frame rate. The picture quality is awesome Pros Price point This thing is FAST! Graphics are on par with higher 4 digit cost laptops Picture quality Processing power Fast boot up Great for video editing and moderate gaming The keyboard is solid and big for a laptop which is a plus. Cons Windows 11 Only 512gb storage Its a heavier laptop Fans are loud Windows 11 The battery life is… what you’d expect. Looking at maybe 1-2 hours if you’re heavy in use and maybe 3-4 woth light use and power saving settings. Lets look at the truth and that is you’re not gonna be gaming on batt power and this thing shines hooked into bigger multiple monitors. The laptop lets you carry to a buddy’s or coffee shop to continue the fun. Did I mention windows 11? Keyboard light doesn’t stay lit too long, even on power and can’t find a setting for it. ... show more

  • Perfect for me
CPU: RTX3050 Ti
I mainly just wanted to get back into Minecraft but I didn’t want to spend a lot for a new computer. This one came up and was perfect. Enough storage, speed and performs better than I need. I have also downloaded Rift and that’s even done well. Good quality overall.

CPU: RTX3050 Ti
Wanted to wait a year or so to review it since it is an electronic and in my experience sometimes it takes a bit to fully see the issues a product may have but this one has yet to cause any trouble at all and it plays high graphic games very well! Why did you pick this product vs others?: It was decent priced and looked cool ... show more

  • Ordered 12th gen and was sent a 13th gen.....
CPU: RTX3050 Ti
I did a lot of research to find a 12th Gen Intel processor... Came across the Acer Nitro 15, described in 4 Models, across the 12th to 14th gen processors, and a choice of five video configs. I chose the 12th gen with the 3060Ti. I was sent a 13th gen with the 3060Ti. I'm crossing my fingers it is not affected by the Intel Meltdown Bug....Hence Why I Ordered 12th gen... The change to the die giving the 13th gen the speed boost has a voltage bug, it's well documented... The Die width of the 14th gen is smaller, yet shares the same voltage issue due to the architecture. I have to laugh at some of the reviews, People need to know what they buy, so Here is my experience after Using it as a main computer while on a three week vacation: Setup: Basic New OS install interface. Have a MS account, or it makes a new one for you, including an outlook e-mail. Registration with Acer: Good Luck! Links back to Acer are Broken in the script making the process lengthy and a real pain in the ..... I have been attempting it for 12 days and I still have no Idea if the product is registered, it error after error after error...Email reminder after Email reminder, get the idea? Battery: Goes for about an hour and a half gaming, and about 3 hours on Wi-Fi Browsing. You Purchased a High Power Processor!! You can NOT expect any type of battery life!! If you want a long Life battery, get a processor designate as U not an H. With this one, it is best to Use it plugged in! The Battery manager allows you to cap charging at 80%. That's a nice touch, since you will more than likely use the system docked a majority of the time due in part to the HIGH POWER Processor that is advertised and installed. Fans: in Auto Mode the fans are almost unheard when browsing or working with office software, streaming videos or picture editing. When gaming the fans can spin up to a noticeable Volume. In High mode, they are quite loud at full spin when they are punching 30kRPM keeping things cool. I have found that a few water bottle or soda caps under the back corners helps drastically with keeping your HIGH POWER PROCESSOR and Video card Cool. Sound: The Spatial sound is quite amazing. It's a full 360 degree surround. It made the gaming quite immersive when you muted the games background music. Ambient sounds were clear, Background movement was easily discernable. So I'm not sure why people are complaining.... Pre-Installed Software: Norton AV Sucks!! Very First removal and replacement!!! MS Office 360/Edge are Gone Because they SUCK! Nitro Sense is Sweet, but annoying with all the notifications. Nitro Sense is a Must Use for this build. It has so many features and tweaks that are quite handy for tuning the laptop to what your current usage needs are. It also has an overlay to keep you totally informed on how your critical hardware is preforming. The standard Temp/Speed/Mem/Proc/Frame rate ect all on a small overlay. Which is Handy for video rendering and gaming. Touch Pad: The touch pad supports gestures and has a finger print reader and pressure point switching. It tracks well, a with a very fine resolution. It's extremely sensitive out of the box. Some adjustment may be required. Video: Colors are crisp and clear. I was pushing 128FPS on a mediocre internet connection. The screen didn't cause eye irritation or discomfort after multiple hours of constant use. Keyboard: Standard mini QWERTY with NUM pad and Directional arrow keys. It's back lit and silent. I like it, the Wife hates it and she made me add gaming KB/Mouse. .. Other Issues: Information on the build spec is limited if available at all. I know it has DDR5 RAM installed, however it is IMPOSSIBLE to know if it is One stick or two. so you have to crack the back and VOID the warranty by opening the case to find out! If your rendering or FPS Gaming it is a necessity to Max it. The secondary NVMe, PCIe slot is limited to Gen2 as the GEN3 slot contains the main drive. Over all, I'm happy with the purchase. I got a great price for a 12th gen laptop, and received a 13th gen, so hard to complain about an additional $150 savings. Just a bit nervous about the intel Meltdown Bug.... ... show more

  • Amazing screen quality and performance at its price, but loud fans and poor speakers
CPU: RTX3050 Ti
The screen was sufficiently bright and could run games pretty well, but the fans were pretty loud and the speakers were kinda meh quality. The build quality of the laptop itself was very impressive, very rugged and durable, and the hinges seem like they would last at least 6-7 years. I found that you could lower the fan sound a little by setting the Power profile of your computer to Balanced, and helping it even further along by setting the display to 60 Hz, but it might require you to use Vertical Sync/VSYNC in some games. I was able to run Starfield at 100+ FPS on Low, but the fans were blaring at me the entire time. The fact that it also comes with SATA drive support is also very impressive, because most laptops have completely abandoned SATA support for NVME to save space and for slightly better thermal performance. This computer also has 2 fans for improved thermals (weird fact, I know, but some laptops only have 1), but they also generate twice the noise. Aside from that, this is a very solid entry-level gaming laptop and will be able to run modern games at low-medium settings for at least a few years. ... show more
