The mattress pad arrived on time and we opened it right away. Packaged nicely and it appeared to be of good quality as soon as I looked at it. Let me begin by saying that several years ago we purchased a Tempurpedic split king adjustable bed. Once of the worst purchases I ever made. Extremely expensive and far too firm for my comfort. Beds are like shoes, they always feel great in the store, but not so great once you get them home. We had the ability to return it within a 60 day period, but crazy me, I thought that it would get better! Enough about that, since this is not a review of Tempurpedic (which I would never recommend), but it is important to state why I bought this mattress pad. So, for at least two years I have been researching pads and finally zeroed in on this one from eLuxury on Amazon. The reviews looked good, except for two concerns. Once appeared to be an incorrect description of the product, which had been corrected and the other was durability. The pad sides were not holding up. I sent a message to eLuxury, received a fast reply that they had fixed the durability issue of the sides. The comments regarding their customer service was excellent, so I decided to give it a try and worst case I hoped their customer service would come through. Back to the unpackaging. We let it breath while we prepared our bed. The pad fit perfectly on our split king and, once again, the quality and feel of the pad felt very good. We made up the bed with clean sheets, etc. and it look great. By that I mean that we could see the quilting of the plush mattress pad through the fitted sheet, looking like a pillow top mattress. My wife and grand-daughter immediately got in bed and took a one hour nap, while I left. When they got up, my wife said, "you are going to like this". I have now slept two nights with this mattress pad on the tempurpedic and, oh my gosh, what a difference. When you first lay down you notice how plush this pad is. It really feels like the high end, pillow top mattresses we have in other bedrooms. I have slept the entire night in these first two nights, not waking up once and having no soreness from pressure points of the "too firm" memory foam. I can only say this makes a world of difference. I just hope it continues to feel this plush as time marches on and the pad does not get compressed. I have never felt that the memory foam tempurpedic was too hot, so I did not buy this pad to solve that problem. The other disappointment I had with the tempurpedic is that we bought the split king so we could individually adjust the two sides. Naturally, this leaves the crack down the middle between the two twins. I did not buy this pad to address that problem and thought I would look for a joiner in the future. The reviews of joiners I have researched were not good, so I have put off that purchase. Well, I am amazed to tell you that this mattress pad nearly eliminates the need for some kind of joiner. I have laid and slept right across the crack between the two twins in this split king and the crack is barely noticeable. This is a pleasant and unexpected surprise! At this point, I do not intend to look for a joiner. In summary, I give this mattress pad 5 stars. The comfort is excellent and it has really addressed the concerns I had with our tempurpedic at a fraction of the price. As mentioned, I hope it feels this good one month, six months and one year from now, but only time will tell. The quality looks very good, but once again only time will tell if it holds up. There is the one year warranty and the eLuxury customer service seems to be quite good. After two nights I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend this mattress pad to anyone who asked!

Rarely am I moved to leave product reviews on Amazon. And mattress pads have never moved me. But this mattress pad w/"topper" was so fabulous, I felt compelled to leave a comment. The mattress pad is packaged separately from the "topper." When they arrived together, the topper looked terribly thick, and the mattress pad, once released from its vacuum-sealed plastic package, inflated before my eyes. So I decided to skip the topper, left it rolled up in its packaging, and just used the pad. The mattress pad is marvelous in and of itself (and very nearly worth the total price tag, standing on its own). Our sheets were never a concern -- Boll & Branch has great and very deep fitted sheets -- but I thought the topper would just be too thick on top of our already thick pillow-top mattress and this new, thick mattress pad. Finally I unwrapped the topper (it is double-rolled so it's half as thick as it appears in its package) and put it on the bed. Mattress pad fit right over it with no problem and my Boll & Branch sheets easily accommodate both. Wow. Wonderful combination. Cannot say enough good things about this pair of products. Incredibly comfortable. And they're NOT HOT! You may, however, have a difficult time kicking anyone else -- especially children -- out of your bed. We bought a King-size and had to wash the mattress pad a few days ago after a bad spill (this was before I'd put on the topper). Surprisingly, none of the liquid seeped through the pad and onto the mattress, though I did pull and wash the pad fairly immediately. NB: Our washing machine is new and was big enough to wash the mattress pad, but just barely. Older washing machines may not be big enough to accomodate a king-sized mattress pad; I don't know. I also screwed up in my haste to clean up the spill: I used a bleach pellet during the wash AND I dried it on hot (both were contrary to the washing instructions). Even with my screw-ups though, the mattress pad fit on top of the topper; there was little shrinkage, if any. In short, this pad and topper are like falling into a cloud. Very glad I gave the topper a try -- after the big spill -- instead of letting it sit in the closet. The pad alone is incredibly comfortable, mind you. But putting on the topper and then the pad will make your mattress dreamy -- even, I would venture to say, if you're starting out with a not-so-dreamy mattress. I cannot overstate our delight with this pair of products and our enthusiastic recommendation. Truly marvelous. Totally enveloping. Well worth the price.
