This mattress is TOO SOFT (for me). I love a "pillow top," but this is like sleeping on a pillow. Is it well made? YES. Can you feel the doily springs? Well, yes, but it has a nice fluffy top. But "medium-firm" according to this manufacturer means your body will sink into it. I am not huge (6'1" 200 lbs), but I am not so light that I can float on a soft mattress. This is much softer than a foam mattress, and I never thought I would miss a "firm mattress" (ever). I have included pictures from when I first opened the box. I followed the directions to let it air out for 24 hours. NO SMELL. No "saggy corners." I really wanted to like this (I had to return it). But it really is well-made, and if you want a super-soft mattress I think you will like this (you can kind of feel the spring coils, but that did not bother me). It is spongy. I need to make that clear so that if you read THIS review you won't buy the wrong mattress. I believe the manufacturer makes a good product, but that their marketing / product description is somewhere between inadequate and misleading. This is not at all "medium-firm." Anyway, hope this helps, and that you have a good night's sleep. I am donating this one and buying a more expensive mattress. It is the problem of shopping online. Great quality mattress. Very comfortable and feels high-end. Mattress comes vacuum packed like most mattresses these days. Can back to full poof pretty quickly, my dad was able to sleep on it about 5 hours after opening. I was suspicious as I have never ordered a hybrid mattress that came vacuum packed, but it retained its shape and support wonderfully. After retaining its full shape, measured right at 13" thick. Update 2023***** It is now October 2023. Almost 4 years since purchasing my king mattress. The mattress has started to give out. Back pain while waking up, dips from where we sleep. I knew it was an inexpensive purchase and wouldn't last like a 10 year mattress would. So here to say I got 4 great sleep years with it and on to the next one! Ok so let me start by saying I did more research on what mattress to purchase than I ever did with ANYTHING school related. I researched mattresses for about a month and had more than 20 in my cart until I finally narrowed it down to this one. I am SO happy I went with my gut and bought this. This was 100% within my price range. I mean a queen for $200? Yes please. Amazon offers the best discount for this specific mattress than any other website even on “Black Friday” and “fourth of July” sales, etc. Delivery was quick, 2 days and came in the form of “bed in a box.” However, I can usually pick up, assemble and throw out all my furniture and big box purchases but this was HEAVY. Be careful if going upstairs and grab some help women! I’m all about being independent but this just wasn’t working lol. After taking it out of the box, it took minutes even seconds to take its form but I allowed 24 hours for it to completely regain its shape. I will say even over the next 2/3 days it was still expanding little by little. The mattress itself is perfect for me and my boyfriend. It’s firm enough where we don’t wake up in pain yet so so so soft and cushion-y. I’ve never owned a better mattress and it’s a quarter of the price of others I’ve had. We’ve now had it about 3 months and there is no sinking in on either side, so far so good. There are always going to be bad reviews and not every mattress works for everyone. But taking the price into consideration, I would tell you to give it a try and take the risk because if you haven’t caught on by now I’m happy we did! I wanted to like this mattress so badly! Here’s the details: I’m a plus size woman (245 pounds) with bulging c-spine discs and fibromyalgia. My life is full of pain but I really wanted to improve my neck and shoulder pain with this purchase of a new mattress. My previous mattress did me good for almost 7 years but I should have gotten rid of it a year ago. It was a hybrid mattress that helped my pain because it was soft but sturdy. My review on this mattress: Firstly, the mattress is beautiful but lacks in quality. It’s really bouncy which shocked me. I literally bounce around on it and I’m a big girl! With all the bounce, comes the lack of support that larger people need or people with bad backs hopes for (both in my case). It reminds me of my bed when I was a kid (I’m almost 52). The first couple of weeks, I really like the very thin layer of cushion/memory foam on top of the mattress but it seems to have disappeared because I’m already feeling pressure from the springs. I’ve given this mattress and my body approximately a month to adjust and I’ve ended up with very sore tendon/muscle in my back on the lower left. I sleep on my left side so I guess it’s safe to assume, the pain is from this mattress. UGH! I’ve added a bamboo mattress pad and I can still feel the pressure from the springs when I’m lying on my side. It lacks any support (hence all the springs and being so bouncy). This would probably it be a great bed for kids or teens but for adults who work hard and/or have physical issues, this bed shouldn’t be considered. I’m considering returning it but I have no idea how to return a purchase, much less a mattress, bought from Amazon. ... show more
