Taking a while to write a review, but it is time now. We bought the 12" version of this in King size in 2022. We assumed it was a temporary solution to a failing traditional mattress while we searched for a better replacement. It was not temporary. Here it is, 2026, and this mattress still feels new... flat and even all the way across and not squished down or broken down like one would expect. This is a great matterss at several times the price, and an absolute bargain at asking price. Do. Not. Hesitate. If you need a new matterss this is a seriously fantastic choice at a price that simply cannot be beat.

First, the price is so much less than ANY big box store. While I don't expect to get 10 yrs out of it, I'm sure it will last at least a couple years. Allowing me to save up for an even better mattress. I'm overweight and that means I'm putting a lot of stress on the matterss. My last one did last about 5 yrs before I noticed it wasn't as comfortable as it used to be. This mattress is very firm (the way I like it) when you first lay down, then it allows you to settle in place and supports even a large guy like myself. I am not sinking into it, which makes moving hard. I like the quality. The fit is perfect for my king sized bed and deep pocket sheets. The 12 inch thickness give lots of room to sink, but also stops the other person from feeling if you're moving around.

Edit: It's almost been 6 months since I got this mattress, and it's still going pretty well. Never did get to the full 12in, but it puffed up to at least 11.5in. No fiberglass issue so far, but I check every time I change my sheets just in case. It softened up after the initial first weeks, and has stayed consistently medium firm. I tend to sleep more on one side, so I may rotate sides in the future. Still happy with my purchase! Original: I'm on week 2 of sleeping on this mattress, and may update this review in the future. I had just purchased a new bed frame (my old one broke), and since my old spring mattress was almost as old as I am (I inherited it from my parents when they upgraded to king-size), I decided to try a foam mattress. Didn't realize this mattress had fiberglass in it until after it had arrived and I'd put it on my bed. My fault, I didn't read the reviews as carefully as I usually do. No leakage so far, but I'll keep an eye on it. It didn't fluff up to the full 12", even after 3 1/2 days (got to 10" the first day, and only gained a half inch more the second day, and nothing else after that). I was pretty miffed about those lost two inches, but didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning or exchanging. The instructions do say it takes longer to expand in the winter/cold weather, so I gave it more than 72 hours. It was a bit of a warm spell the week I got it (40+ Fahrenheit), and I'm in the smallest room of the house, and my room is also the warmest, so I had high hopes. I thought about waiting the full 4 days, but after so little progress on those last couple of inches, and tired of sleeping on my old mattress in the family room, I gave up and slept on it. First night sleep was not great -- it was super firm, too firm for me. But after a few days, the foam got softer, and my sleeps got better. I measured it again a week later, out of curiosity, and found it had puffed up to almost the full 12 inches. Still not quite there, and one corner is still somewhat crushed, but I'm still pretty happy with it. It's still pretty firm, but with just enough cush that it's comfortable. I've thought about adding a mattress topper, but I'm still getting great sleeps with it as it is, so I'm holding off on that for now. After that initial bad night's sleep, it's been smooth sailing. So, so far so good, and fingers crossed it will continue and I won't have a fiberglass problem.

I recently purchased the Signature Design by Ashley Queen Size Chime 12 Inch Medium Firm Memory Foam Mattress with Green Tea & Charcoal Gel, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This mattress has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. First and foremost, the comfort level is outstanding. The medium firm support strikes a perfect balance, offering just the right amount of firmness without sacrificing comfort. The memory foam conforms to my body, providing excellent support and relieving pressure points. This has significantly improved the quality of my sleep, and I wake up feeling refreshed and pain-free. Initially, I was concerned about purchasing a boxed mattress online without trying it in person at a store. However, this mattress is comparable to a plush firm mattress available at local mattress stores, and my concerns were quickly put to rest once I experienced the comfort firsthand. One of the standout features of this mattress is the infusion of green tea and charcoal gel. These elements not only help with odor control but also maintain a fresh and cool sleeping environment. Due to this, I placed the middle rolled section by the footboard to allow additional expansion over time while still being able to use the mattress after 48 hours. As someone who weighs over 300 pounds, I find this mattress to be very comfortable and supportive. It provides excellent stability and does not sag, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What's more, it's extremely comfortable during side sleeping, providing the perfect level of cushioning and support. Overall, the Signature Design by Ashley Chime 12 Inch Memory Foam Mattress is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a comfortable, supportive, and high-quality mattress. Bought this matress and it sleeps so good! We had paid 1000$ for a fancy matress and it slept ok for a couple months then it started sinking in and not sleep very well. This matress is worth every penny! Its cooling, you can't feel your partner move. The thickness is perfect and comfortable. Makes no noise at all. It is a perfect fit for our base. Worth buying if you have back trouble.

Very comfortable mattress. A friend got the same one in a larger size I only needed a queen size. It fluffed up to the exact size in less than an hour. It’s light weight but doesn’t move - I did the wine glass challenge thing and it glass didn’t shake or anything. Great firmness if you like a firmer mattress. It’s softening as I sleep in it to just the right comfort. It’s not hot when I sleep either. Breathes well I think. I’ll keep this for a while for sure.

I had been looking for almost a year, trying to figure out if I wanted a innerspring with plush top or a memory foam mattress. I have never owned a memory foam mattress before and wanted to make a good investment. I have rheumatoid arthritis and have severe hip and back pain and I need a quality bed. I found this Ashley Chime 12 inch King Size Memory Foam Mattress on Prime Day and I am so glad I did. It arrived in a very long box, exactly as seen in the product video. (I do want to say to Ashley that they really should find a way to manufacture handles somewhere on this awkward box!) You cannot actually handle it very easily. It was very heavy, almost or right at 90 lbs, so you will need help getting it inside and setting it up. After opening the vaccum sealed bag it began to inflate and was full 12 inches in less than 2 hours. There was very little to no smell for me after a few hours. The first night it felt extremely firm, but I slept well. I woke up with minimal hip pain the next morning and was very happy. It seems to become softer as the days pass or it could be as I become accustomed to it. Overall I am very pleased, I got an incredible deal and my pain level has decreased. I would reccomend this Ashley Chime and I most definitely would purchase again. I will try and update in about 6 months. I am curious how it wears after some time has passed. Thanks Amazon and Ashley Furniture Update: It's been almost 2 years since I purchased this product. I'm very happy to report that I have almost no detectable wear that I can find. It is the most comfortable mattress that I've ever owned. I had never owned any memory foam mattress before and didn't know what to expect. I never thought I'd be this impressed honestly. A good night's rest is so important for good health and now I'm actually able to get good sleep. I'm so very happy with this mattress. I hope when I do have to replace this one in the future that they still have this product available. Oh and just an observation, if you have hip or leg problems you definitely should get a lower profile mattress. This one being 12 inches tall is a little difficult for me getting into some days. Once on the bed it is so comfortable. I honestly didn't consider the height being an issue before I purchased it. Chime does come in 8, 10 and 12 inch height. Hope this helps...Enjoy!
