These turned out very nice in our daughter’s bedroom. The instructions are not really instructions though. They are not explanatory in any way and there is no parts list. My instructions and help came in the form of Amazon reviews.They were easy to install but we needed larger wire caps than the ones provided. Pay attention to the two different sizes of screws as they are very similar in size. You do need to attach the base to the shade before installing. There is no way to install shade after installing the base to the ceiling. I placed the included washers on the screw head side inside the shade (not the nut side). I am including a picture to show what I mean. The screw heads are not much larger than the shade attachments it seemed like there was a chance of the screw head going through the metal attachments. Definitely get bulbs like the ones I included a pic of. They make a big difference in light projection and don’t come close to inside of shade. Shorter, clear bulbs are much better for this fixture. These fixtures put out a good amount of light in a smaller room. I’m not sure they would be bright enough for a large room. ... show more

This product I'm still a little standoff with. It might be the way the ceiling is but over all its a beautiful light fixtures. I love the boho look. The light is brighter. Easy to install. Really good quality. I'm might change my mind and reinstall something else but I'm definitely keeping this and just put on a flat surface. This isn't for slanted ceilings. I am in the process of replacing all boob lights around my home. When I saw this light I felt it would be perfect for my hallway and the boho theme I have going on. While the light was easy to install once I figured out the shade must be attached to the base before trying to hang, a few additional instructions would have been nice. Now that it is installed I have to paint around the fixture since removing my old light but that is very easy. Installing a light is fairly easy, turn the power off, take your time and you can honestly get it done within 15 minutes. I always wrap the ground wire and secure that tightly before I connect the light wires. If it is older wiring there will be a red and beige wire. Red to black and beige to white. When installing the plate ensure it is level because if not the fixture once installed will have a slight jiggle. I don't like jiggly lights so I had to adjust it and once I did the light fixture is very secure and there is no give at all. I rate this light a 10/10. I am excited to change out all of the lights in my home. This is # 3, only 4 more to go! ... show more

The instructions are pretty limited. See photos of how I installed. Not sure if it’s how you should do it? It just worked best for me (being one person installing). Turn off power and insure the circuit breaker is off. I attached the fixture (lamp body) to the main socket base (with the four screws, washers & nuts provided) prior to hanging. It didn’t seem possible to do it any other way? I mounted the metal plate to the ceiling using the original screws I had (though they provide 3 screws). Run existing wires down through plate before mounting. Remember to wire together (white to white and black to black). My house has older wiring so it’s (red to black and cream to white). Little extra wire is your ground wire. Be sure screw that wire is in place. If you’re uncomfortable wiring things I’d recommend having an electrician or handy-person install. Though I’m a female in my 60’s and I did it. Lastly; I used two of the three long screws provide (instead of the tiny 2 screws) to hang the whole lamp. I didn’t think they were long enough to hold it securely. But that is just my opinion. I’m so happy with this lamp. It looks incredible and it’s definitely a great looking lamp for the price. Worth noting; someone else commented that the right bulbs really make a difference…. So true. Use clear E26 bulbs. Short bulbs seem best so there is enough clearance between bulb and lamp shade. ... show more

Came out beautifully for my walkway light. It’s not two big. Very easy install, awful direction! Thankfully I found the video because mine didn’t come assembled like the video and I needed a reference. The two screws to adhere it to the wall plate is a very tight fit and almost impossible to screw

This is a lovely light fixture. It goes well with my room decor and is quite bright when four 40-watt equivalent LED bulbs are used. My electrician installed it in only a few minutes.

Stay away! It’s cute but not worth losing your sanity during the installation. We bought the 4 lightbulb model. The instructions are just basic diagrams and the video in Amazon conveniently skips over the tricky part. It took two of us several passes at trying to figure out how to do this. I have installed several ceiling lights by myself but there is no way to do this without two people. The wires could be a few inches longer and the brace plate is nearly completely blocked by the X going through the middle (see picture) so it is very difficult maneuvering the wires through such a crowded space. Had that space been left more open, the install would have been much easier. There is also little clearance between the fixture and ceiling so it’s a very tight space to work through. Save your shoulders, your sanity and your relationship and skip out on this model. It’s cute but not worth it. (We did finally succeed but one more mishap and it would have been thrown in the garbage.) ... show more
