Easy, safe, and convenient to use. Makes perfect hard boiled eggs (I haven't tried soft or medium). The shells peel off more easily than I've ever experinced. I no longer have to mind a pot of boiling water on a stove. Efficient use of counter and storage space, perhaps moreso than with the round versions. This could be useful in a motel - if you can buy fresh eggs in your travels (maybe just 6), and you and perhaps your companions will eat them soon or have a room fridge or cooler, it's cheaper and safer to make your own than buying hard boiled eggs in a convenience store.

The media could not be loaded. I have owned several egg cookers over the years and I must say, this one has the best performance. Not to mention it looks good enough to leave on the counter when not in use. It has two settings, one which sounds a steady alarm when the eggs are done until you turn it off. The second setting keep them warm. I like to remove my eggs as soon as they are done so I can dip them in ice water for easier peeling. This one cooked my eggs absolutely perfect. I have not used the poaching or omelette trays, I probably won’t. I am more inclined to just use hard boiled however, I believe the “omelette” tray, is pretty small if I wanted an omelette. it sure would not do a three egg omelette. I think this is a well-made, egg cooker and a good value for the price.

I like its size (doesn’t occupy a lot of counter space), how easily it cook eggs and how easy it is to clean. Very convenient for quick hard boiled or poached eggs. Haven’t used it for omelettes which can also do. When used for hard boiled eggs, the eggs once cooled are easy to peel. If you don’t punch a small hole in the egg before hard boiling as recommended, sometimes, but not always, the shell may crack while hardening. Not a problem as I find that the egg then is even easier to peel. Poached eggs come out just fine in the plastic containers provided with the steamer. The steamer beeps when the eggs are done. This product has great value. Would definitely buy again.

Ok this is my second egg cooker, I use it every single day. Eggs turn out perfect if you use the little cup. Its very sleek/nice looking compared to all of the other ones that are all plastic. Here is the only problem: when its done cooking, it starts beeping... not once or twice or even a few times, but a shrill nonstop panic beep. literally will never stop. It will stop eventually for about two seconds...aaaaaand then back at it again. This is so perplexing to me because it feels like the whole reason you would have an automatic egg cooker in the first place is so you don't have to be right there watching/waiting for it to be done. So, if I'm in my room on a work call, I just have to suffer through the faint beeping in the background, or if I'm in the backyard and don't hear it go off, one of my housemates will have to go shut it up. There is a "warm" setting that I think you can actually use to just cook them without getting the annoying beep, but then it doesn't beep at all so you don't even know when they're done. The last egg cooker I had beeped a few times to let you know and then stopped.

This little gem is awesome. Easy to set up, and the measuring cup has a small spike on the bottom of it so you can poke a little hole in the shells. It takes 19 minutes to cook six hard boiled eggs, and then I put the in a cold water bath. Soooo easy to peel the eggs, no more mangling the egg white. Read the directions, cook those eggs! There is a built in timer and it will sound a beeper when the eggs are done. Let them sit an extra minute and then give them a cool down in a bowl of ice water. Next time I’m gonna get a 12 egg cooker, but for now, this one’s perfect.

Look, Germans like boiled eggs. Soft. Hard. Medium. You name it. This egg boiler easily makes the best boiled egg you'll ever try at home. I've had egg boilers much more expensive than this one, made in Germany for some, and this one beats them all. Highly recommended !

I previously purchased another egg cooker that had more features to cook eggs, but the unit failed to heat and was disappointing. I bought this one and it works perfectly for me. I time the eggs for the maximum cooking time for soft boiled and it comes out fast and it is easy to clean. The thing about this unit is you have to keep cleaning the heating metal pad because it tends to build up with spotting. I keep an eye on it. I have used the inner egg cooking plastic trays, it works but I prefer this unit for the hard and soft boiled eggs. I am happy with the choice and it looks good on the counter as it is slim line and convenient to pull out.
