I review the ZKH Orbital Sander with a little surprise. I've been a toolhead for many years (got more tools than time to use them!) and I read up on tools when I'm not actually using or organizing them! I'd never heard of ZKH or (as my research found) ZKH Industrial Supply. More on that in a min. I have had a checkered history with random orbital sanders. Many of them seemed to do little, requiring a lot of pressure to get a minimum of effective sanding. Some worked just fine, sanding as expected against the sandpaper grits and allowing for a progressive from rougher (150-200 grit) to fine (400-600) to superfine/polished (10,000-12,000) and handling them all. I've burned out two of these over the years, so always on the hunt for the next/better/best one yet! This sander is the latter, a fine sander that does make easier work of sanding projects. I used on a number of different boards/projects from a half dozen glues up boards (cleaned up the glue to the point you couldn't tell where the join line was!) to a tabletop I was refinishing (stripped stain and lacquer off very effectively) to a project involving delicate kumiko sanding. The sander handled them all well, using a variety of sandpaper from outside; I've very pleased with the sander and recommend it. If you are looking for one, I recommend this one. Last, ZKH is a Chinese MRO consolidator, carrying 32 product lines and 15 million SKUs (that's quite a lot!). They apparently have 5-10 thousand employees, but their website is in need of update. There's a lot of items showing 'Unavailable' on their Amazon facing page. MRO sands for maintenance, repair and operations which means that the sander you are buying may ultimately wind up (with resale) rebranded with another name plastered on, one that might be more familiar. Not sure if you (or I) need to care about this, but if you are not interested in buying products from China, be aware, these do source through China.

We used this in finishing our chicken coop. It helped getting the rough sawn logs ready for paint. With all power tools I be sure to wear eye and ear protection. I think the ear protection was a little overkill with this as it isn't very loud. It's easy to switch out sandpaper pads and I felt comfortable using it the entire time.

I've never had an orbital sander before, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. I generally don't have a need to sand large areas. For an occasional project that requires some sanding (fixing a bath tub for example), my oscillating tool with a sander attachment did just fine... or so I thought. Boy was I wrong. This sander is a whole different ball game. It just so happens that I was patching a wall in quite a few places recently. As part of that exercise, some of the joints weren't aligning quite properly and I wanted to sand out the extra spackle that accumulated there over the years. Naturally, I wanted to try my latest toy from ZKH. The experience was quite amazing. The whole thing took maybe 2 minutes (likely less). The speed control was a bit hard to spot at first, but once you know where it is, it's quite intuitive. The sander got plenty of power. I actually had to be careful not to sand too much, and definitely without pushing hard. The dust that was generated, was all sucked into the vacuum pouch. I think most (all?) orbital sanders work this way. Still, this was a very welcome break from the oscillating tool sanding which produces a cloud of dust. Even the floor under the sanding location didn't require wiping afterwards. Overall, very impressed with the experience. Highly recommend.

I have had a small sander for many years, which I used in some repairs, wood prep, and a bit of furniture work. The problem with that sander was that I needed to use full sheets, held in place by two hinges. Very inefficient design, and the dust collector did almost nothing. This Orbital sander is very powerful at 2.5 A for its size. It has a weight which helps in sanding, but you need to use it correctly. Lay it on the surface, then start it up. You align one of the included sheets, which are quite common and provide the hole for depositing into the small vacuum bag, which I empty frequently. I hope to be able to find replacements locally. The attachment, by hook and loop works well for my needs. My current task is 3 large beams next to the rear entrance, where the painters didn’t remove all the old paint and with the rain I get bubbles under the new layer of paint. I’m not happy to fix someone else’s mistakes, but it is my place and I’m a bit more careful with my workmanship. Note that this is not a cordless sander.

Works great and at a great price. The dust collecteer keeps the mess down. The handle fits my hand perfectly, and it's comfortable to use for a long period. I know some people don't like corded tools, and there may be a time & place for a battery operated one, but the corded ones avoid the hassle of stopping to recharge
