Update! SIX YEARS later and I still love this vitamin. This vitamin just can’t be beat. Helps with energy, metabolism, and immunity. Still smells funny. Doesn’t taste as bad as it used to. I just compared it to five other popular vitamins that are more expensive and this is still the highest quality for the lowest price. ******* I have really horrible issues with a total lack of energy and a general feeling of malaise and unwellness. I'm only 26, so obviously it's concerning. I eat well, I exercise, I'm not overweight. I decided it was time to look into vitamins again... I once took a women's multivitamin, calcium, B12 and green tea but it was all very rough on my stomach and expensive. I found this vitamin on Amazon and was immediately impressed that it's a food-based supplement for easier absorption and digestion. I'm also a big believer in the non-traditional supplements, so their special blend of nutrients for women was a plus. After some research, I ordered it. I've been taking this product for about a week now. Already, I can tell a difference in my energy. I'm up at 5:30AM every day and am usually falling asleep by 8PM and that's with a nap on my lunch break. I'm now able to skip the nap and last till 10:30PM or so, if I have to. (I still prefer to get 8 hours of sleep, but sometimes it just can't happen.) I am starting to notice that I feel better. Just a little bit, so far. But it's better than not-a-bit. The vitamin is really not that big. After reading some reviews I was nervous about this horse pill, but really? It's no different than any other vitamin, in my opinion. Does it smell a little funny? Yep. If you let it sit on your tongue too long, it will leave an aftertaste. Don't let it discourage you from trying this product... for the price, it can't be beat. AND it's only one per day! Also don't forget, take it with FOOD because that is the only way a vitamin will work! Otherwise you just pee most of it out ;-) ... show more

I’ve been using this vitamin for 15 plus years. Not only getting the components of a regular multivitamin, it boosts your immunity and has probiotics. I can’t ask for anything more. I guess they could be smaller. But they aren’t chalky so they do go down easy. Buying from Amazon is a significant process reduction from our local health store. ... show more

[Edited 12/16/2020] I have been taking this multivitamin every day for more than 3 years. I have a biochemistry background and worked in quality assurance for unaffiliated nutritional supplement companies in the past, so I am very familiar with multivitamin formulas, ingredients, regulations, and production. I have been working in QA for more than 6 years now. I will first say that this multivitamin is top-notch. I have consistently led a very high-stress, fast-paced life style for the past 8 or so years and neglected to take care of myself over other obligations for much of that time. About 5 years ago I started getting sick a lot; sometimes very sick. I would pick up any bug floating around without fail, and had recurrent bouts of tonsillitis and ear infections. I used to say my immune system was crap and blamed it on bad genes, and continued struggling through a different sickness every other month that would put me out for up to a week sometimes. I never put much thought into why I was getting sick all the time, but it turns out if you don't take care of your body, your body will not take care of you. A few years ago I got into a health kick and started researching the best multivitamins for women. I needed something that covered all my daily requirements in one tablet, and something that was made with trustworthy ingredients. I also have a sensitive stomach and could not take multivitamins in the past without becoming nauseous, so the fact that this multi includes enzymes to help the digestion process was a huge plus. After a bit of research I decided to give Rainbow Light a try, and I'm glad I did. I now only get sick about twice a year. Aside from this multivitamin I have also been taking 5,000 IU of Vitamin D3 as well as an Echinacea/Goldenseal blend every day (this regime has changed since I originally wrote this review - I have added B-12 and Omega-3 supplements and no longer take Echinacea/Goldenseal). Overall, my opinion is that this is one of the highest quality multivitamins for women at this price level. I can say my overall health has improved since I started taking it (anecdotally), and I plan to continue purchasing it in the future. Since writing this review I have further researched whether or not this product is vegan, and have concluded that some ingredients are likely sourced from animal byproducts, so it is potentially vegetarian, but not vegan.
