Good product. Ive bought like 5-6 of these in last 7 yrs but from another company. For 1/2 the price but there always out of stock of course. So I tried this one from Amazon seemed to be the same product and it is I paid more but I’m glad I ordered it-it’s still a great price for a patio blind. It came tonight jan 27,2024 I just put it up in 2 minutes it’s so lightweight and quick to put up. But keep in mind I don’t attach it like you can I just hang mine on 3- long nails that are already on boarder of my wood patio one nail is in middle and 2 on each end and whallah’ you got privacy in 2 seconds lol and of course in day time it blocks about 90% of the uv rays and sunlight. It gives me just enough sunlight to enjoy my patio or garden without the sun beating down on my face. And my new neighbors that I don’t know very well at all put up security cameras that I know capture this side of my house & patio when I go out there and I’m not comfortable with that at all. I mean I’m a mom & grandma I’m old not doing anything wrong but I love my own space and privacy. Everyone deserves and has rights to privacy. So if your debating on this shade I gave you my honest option. They are made of vinyl not bamboo or wood but they still look nice and presentable for company comes and I’m very happy with it.I will order 3 more for the length to cover my whole area soon. ... show more

    • The Best Simple and Inexpensive Solution

We like to sit on our small front porch but for a short time in the evening, the sun can be brutal. We wanted a shade that was just the right size to block a specific area. We didn't need anything big and long. This shade was perfect. So easy to install and we were able to customize the size by using the clips that come with it. It was not doing the best job to block the sun when it was one layer so we doubled it by folding it in half and clipping the bottom to the top. It did the trick perfectly. We didn't need to anchor it and it does move in the wind but it's heavy enough that it doesn't flap. We'll be able to remove it for the winter. Hopefully, it will hold up. It is not rugged but it's in a place where it won't be touched so it should be ok. Very, very happy. I wish we did it sooner! ... show more

Front Porch receives full sun in Winter, blinding and cooking anything out there. Installed Two of these units-Problem Solved!! Blocks 80-90% of Sun Rays, yet sheer enough to let light and some air thru. Will probably take down in Summer, as angle of Sun is high enough it will not be needed and will definitely cut the breeze. ****Very Important **** This unit DOES NOT have a roll up cord. For those who wish to raise and lower shades depending on needs, this will not work! Once installed, height cannot be easily adjusted. So, while not perfect for all situations, where a stationary shade is needed, as mine, it is perfect. The material is PVC and I do not imagine it will last for many years, especially if left up constantly. Sun Rays deteriorate such material over time and indeed, time will tell. These blinds are super easy to install - they even give you some wiggle room so you don't have to get the brackets exactly in the right place. I think that they are definitely fine for the price, I'd try to get these on sale if I'm honest. The PVC tubes crack VERY easily, even from using the little clips to raise and lower the shades. If you live somewhere very windy, I wouldn't recommend these. They work great on my East facing patio to block some of the worst heat during the summer. They still let enough filtered light in for my plants. However, in the evening, you can see straight through them into rooms with lights on, so I wouldn't recommend these for privacy either. Sun blocking - 7/10 Heat blocking - 6/10 Privacy - 4/10 Ease of installation - 10/10 Ease of daily use (raise and lower shades) - 6/10, i find the clips very annoying Value for money - 8/10 ... show more

Really a thin plastic, cheaply quality product. Easily prone to cracks and tears and becomes brittle after exposure to the elements. I will ASSURE you that within a month of ownership you will see dents and cracks of various sizes which, when seen against sun light, become very obvious and unsightly. The pic attached is what I woke up to after a breezy night. When I bought it it was $35 for 72 in, even then I thought I overpaid for the quality. Now I see they are charging $50 and i'm mind blown ... show more

For context: We get indirect sunlight (windows face directly south) and it's covered by shrubs, which helps. It doesn't snow here (southern California) also. I chose this for the material as I wasn't a fan of reed or bamboo. I really can't imagine this holding up in extreme weather or even sustained moderate heat (like 85F), but if you live in similar conditions as ours where it's 60~95F & in slight shade, it should be okay for a few years. We've had tarp disintegrate here put up in the same area so I'm honestly not putting much stock in anything synthetic. But for now it does the job and most importantly helps maintain privacy/reduce the awkwardness when our neighbors pass by hahah. Installation was a breeze also! I didn't even need to use the hardware because I had long screws already up and sticking out (but it'd help for windy/rainy days I'm sure). ... show more

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS IN THE TITLE: Radiance CORDLESS Outdoor Shades for Windows - Waterproof PVC Blinds for Outdoor - Roll-Up for DIFFUSE Sunlight --- SO WHY THE ONE STAR REVIEWS? THEY DO EXACTLY WHAT THE TITLE AND DESCRIPTION SAYS THEY WILL. Our older home with its Southwest facing glass enclosed porch was intolerably hot after baking in the sun all afternoon, so we put these up and have noticed a 10-15 degree drop in temps. They do not "block out" the light, just DIFFUSE it, (which is wonderful for orchids). And you can still see any movement outside. We will roll them up or take down in Winter - but for Summer they are EXACTLY what we needed. Super easy to install -- we will not be rolling up and down so we're not using the plastic hooks. For the price we don't expect more than one or two years of use (they are not meant to be 20 year investments). If you want cords and sturdy longevity -- invest in something expensive.
