I used this item with 2 radar/laser detectors: 1) Uniden R3 Extreme Long Range. 2) Escort Max360 I used this item with 3 vehicles: 1) Honda Pilot 2019 2) Honda Odyssey 2018 3) Chevrolet Bolt 2019 This item comes with tiny wire connectors and bigger wire connectors. It also comes with short screws for thin rear view mirrors, and extra long screws for extra thick mirrors to attach to. This item turns on the Uniden R3 in all 3 vehicles. This item turns the Max360 in the Chevrolet Bolt & Honda Odyssey. Unfortunately, in the Honda Pilot it could not and shut off claiming low voltage (despite my volt meter showing 13 volts). Your Rear View mirror has electric power for this item to connect to if it has a dimmer or car garage opener. The fact that it has electricity means it can power your detector if you find the right combination of wires to attach to. Which combination of 2 power slots will provide exactly 12 volts and turn on and off with the car can be a bit tricky if you have no clue. For example, I got the right color combination for the Odyssey from a forum and it took like 5 minutes to install this device. However, I could not find the Pilot's combination and it took 1 hour to figure out. Why? Because youtube videos and people on forums said use a volt meter. The volt meter I bought was giving me erroneous reads for an hour. That is when I figured that I did not have to use the volt meter. I simply put this item's black wire in one slot, put in the red wire in another slot, and turned off and on the car with my Radar detector attached. I tried every possible combination my device turned on and off with the car. When I found the right color combination I then checked with the volt meter and it always read about 12 to 13 volts. I'm no electrician but this worked for me. So you don't have to figure it out for yourself here is the color combination for my 3 cars: 1) Honda Pilot 2019- The Pilot does not require the tiny wires. You put the big black wire on the Pilot's blue wire slot, and the big red wire in the light tan colored slot. Slide the wire in cross ways, across the top of the wire already in there. 2) Honda Odyssey 2018- you put the big black with the black slot, and the big red wire in the light green slot. Again, no need for the tiny wires. 3) Chevrolet Bolt 2019- look up the stem where the rear view mirror mounts to the car. The wire connectors are deep on the back side and difficult to reach. You will need to use the tiny wires provided and clip the black wire into the black wire slot on the bottom-mid point (closer to driver side), and the red wire into the top wire slot (green) closest to driver (one level higher than black wire, you'll know what I mean when you look). It will be annoyingly painful to get them in there, particularly if you have big hands. But it can be done, I did it. Maybe if you use pincers or something it will be easier. Hope this helps. Item is definitely 5 of 5 stars and worth it. Easy to install and use.

Great mount and mirror tap wire! This price cannot be beat! This does everything the blendmount can do. The lenght of the cable is also good! I had difficulties but not because of the wire but because Camaros are difficult to hard wire. Fits the Uniden R7 perfectly.

Great design, fairly easy to install once the mirror is off. It locks onto the radar detector just like the factory mount but also has a clip that holds it together as well. Very sturdy mount but the adjustable ball that controls where it sits moves to easily, even using tools to tighten it up it still moves easily.

This is a pretty decent mount for the price point works well and does its job. Just wish the top of the bracket was lined with felt or rubber because it did end up scratching the rear view mirror bracket during install. Other than that no complaints, it holds my Undien R7 in place very well and is adjustable to your preference. Wiring included is good quality and worked well with the wiring harness on my 2025 Lexus IS350. Overall I would recommend.

I just got a Uniden R7 radar detector, and since I live in California, it's better to avoid mounting too much stuff on the windshield, as the law is against it, but so far police officer seems to not really enforce it at this time. But you never know. At least with this mount, I was able to attach the R7 to my rear view mirror without problem. It worked to well, that I even ordered another one to install in another car, so I can move my radar detector easily between them. So far, no problem with the mount being loose after driving for a while, and the Uniden adapter provided fit just fine in the radar detector's top slot. It stays also well gripped to the rear view mirror, and I don't think that's going off either without using the provided hex key. A word of advice though when you install that mount: Be sure to not put any pressure on the rear view mirror itself while you do so (don't hold the mirror with your hand or force on it), or it may break the windshield (like some review on here state). When mounting this bracket, I was only touching the screws with the hex key and never touched or put any weight on the mirror itself. I have used the wire tap on the rear mirror of my Mazda RX-8, and it also worked great. So definitely recommend this to all R7 owner who want a great basic mount, without having to pay lot of money for the other "deluxe" expensive mount available.

This item is made of metal not plastic so it isn't cheaply made. It's a bit pricey but what isn't today? It came with a small bracket that didn't fit my radar detector so I simply used the one currently on my detector. It came with everything the ad showed and the screws fit just fine. It has 2 tiny screws that hold the mirror bracket to the detector bracket, 2 medium length "Allen" screws and 2 long ones in case your mirror has a thicker shaft. You attach the detector bracket to the mirror mount bracket with the tiny screws, choose which of the Allen screws you'll use, remove one of them completely and unscrew the other one most of the way out, put the mirror mount bracket over your car mirror mounting shaft, install the screw you took out and tighten both screws evenly. Then you adjust the position of the detector and tighten the 2 wing screws on the side. No fuss no muss! It came with 2 power cords but some mirrors (like mine) don't have the power connector on the back so you can't use the enclosed modular power connector. Good product; Highly recommended!
