  • Does NOT fit C6 corvette Z06
Still giving it 5 stars because I had somewhere else to mount it, and overall it works great; the mount and wiring harness both. Wiring harness will work with c6 corvette (2005-2013), but the mount won’t fit in the mirror if it’s the onstar/powered one.

  • Uniden Radar Detector Rearview Mount
Product was easy to install and made of quality material. I just Googled wiring diagram for my vehicle and with the smaller adapter wires that are included was able to install in less than 15 minutes.

  • Honda Pilot 2019, Honda Odyssey 2018, Chevrolet Bolt 2019, Uniden, Escort Max360
I used this item with 2 radar/laser detectors: 1) Uniden R3 Extreme Long Range. 2) Escort Max360 I used this item with 3 vehicles: 1) Honda Pilot 2019 2) Honda Odyssey 2018 3) Chevrolet Bolt 2019 This item comes with tiny wire connectors and bigger wire connectors. It also comes with short screws for thin rear view mirrors, and extra long screws for extra thick mirrors to attach to. This item turns on the Uniden R3 in all 3 vehicles. This item turns the Max360 in the Chevrolet Bolt & Honda Odyssey. Unfortunately, in the Honda Pilot it could not and shut off claiming low voltage (despite my volt meter showing 13 volts). Your Rear View mirror has electric power for this item to connect to if it has a dimmer or car garage opener. The fact that it has electricity means it can power your detector if you find the right combination of wires to attach to. Which combination of 2 power slots will provide exactly 12 volts and turn on and off with the car can be a bit tricky if you have no clue. For example, I got the right color combination for the Odyssey from a forum and it took like 5 minutes to install this device. However, I could not find the Pilot's combination and it took 1 hour to figure out. Why? Because youtube videos and people on forums said use a volt meter. The volt meter I bought was giving me erroneous reads for an hour. That is when I figured that I did not have to use the volt meter. I simply put this item's black wire in one slot, put in the red wire in another slot, and turned off and on the car with my Radar detector attached. I tried every possible combination my device turned on and off with the car. When I found the right color combination I then checked with the volt meter and it always read about 12 to 13 volts. I'm no electrician but this worked for me. So you don't have to figure it out for yourself here is the color combination for my 3 cars: 1) Honda Pilot 2019- The Pilot does not require the tiny wires. You put the big black wire on the Pilot's blue wire slot, and the big red wire in the light tan colored slot. Slide the wire in cross ways, across the top of the wire already in there. 2) Honda Odyssey 2018- you put the big black with the black slot, and the big red wire in the light green slot. Again, no need for the tiny wires. 3) Chevrolet Bolt 2019- look up the stem where the rear view mirror mounts to the car. The wire connectors are deep on the back side and difficult to reach. You will need to use the tiny wires provided and clip the black wire into the black wire slot on the bottom-mid point (closer to driver side), and the red wire into the top wire slot (green) closest to driver (one level higher than black wire, you'll know what I mean when you look). It will be annoyingly painful to get them in there, particularly if you have big hands. But it can be done, I did it. Maybe if you use pincers or something it will be easier. Hope this helps. Item is definitely 5 of 5 stars and worth it. Easy to install and use. ... show more

  • Uniden R3 on 2019 Volvo S60. Works as it should for a great price
I researched a bit for a nice setup for my Uniden R3 install. Looks like the best mount costs $100+, which is crazy to me. Another version, like this one is cheaper, but reviewers say the clamp can damage the stem of the rearview mirror when clamped. Took a chance with this one. To solve the clamp issue, I used a rubber shim that came from an action camera for bike handlebars to wrap around the rearview mirror stem before installing the clamp. The wire and the skinny contacts adaptor worked perfectly. I pulled the cover straight down to remove and the wires to tap were right there. Connect the black connector to the black wire and the red connector to the blue wire on my Volvo and the polarity was correct. The only issue is that there us barely any space between the rearview mirror stem and the access cover for the rearview mirror wiring. I had to give it a hard push to pop just the windshield end of the cover into place, leaving a gap at the mirror end of the cover. As long as it doesn't rattle, that gap is hidden in view. ... show more

  • Doesn't fit in all cars, but it works great in others
Didn't work in one of my cars as indicated it would, but it did work in my other car so I kept it. Use a voltmeter and follow the instructions on how to tell which pins to use on your powered meter. If you didn't get instructions, here they are: 1. Set the voltmeter to the continuity setting. This should cause the voltmeter to make a tone when you touch the red and black probes to each other. 2. Find a ground on the car, such as a bolt under the dash/steering wheel. 3. Put the black probe on the ground, and then touch each of the expose wire connector in the mirror harness with the red probe. 4. Each wire that beeps means that the wire is grounded. Turn the ignition on (don't have to start the car, just the key position before cranking/starting the engine), and back off making sure the beep happens regardless of the ignition position. 5. Put the voltmeter into VDC mode to measure DC volts. Turn the ignition on (again, don't have to start the car). 6. Put the black probe on a ground wire you found in #4. 7. Touch each of the other wires in the harness with the red probe, and note which ones give you +12-14 volts (you may only have one). Turn the ignition to the off position and verify the reading goes down to zero (or very close to zero). 8. You know know which wire is the ground, and which wire is the "hot" wire that will turn on/off when you turn on/off your car. Connect the black wire to the ground, and the red wire to the hot wire. You are done! Also, some very modern cars, especially those with keys you keep in your pocket, will turn power on to the car if you get near them with the key. Some will even turn on some power without the key in pocket, but if you open the door. In this case, you will want to follow the instructions above but with regard to the red wire, you still want to make sure it is +12-14 volts, but after wiring it you will want to observe with the key a good distance from the car to verify the power is being shut off. This could take a few minutes to observe, so be patient. ... show more

  • Perfect for 2023 BME 840i
The hardest part was removing the OEM covers for wiring. Good instructions, but see YouTube too. Sits nicely and tight. Zero problems after 4 months. I looked at products for 3X the price, but this really work.
