The kit was extremely easy to install and for the price you really can't beat it. The kit came with everything you would need the fuse and all of the prongs and things you would need to wire up some sub woofers. The 8 gauge is perfect for your average sub system; I plan on purchasing the 0 gauge kit later. I would definitely recommend especially if price is a factor. I have never had a problem it works extremely well and the cord lengths were perfect and just what you needed. The wiring was extremely flexible and you could put it just about anywhere. Of course if you decide to go all out on a sub system I would go with something bigger but this works perfect. ... show more

I purchased two different suppliers of 8 gauge wire from Amazon. I immediately noticed the BOSS 8 gauge wire has thicker than usual insulation. The "other" 8 gauge wire has normal thickness insulation. Comparing the two, the BOSS wire conductor is a lot thinner than the other wire. Both wires are made from CCA which is disappointing too. In one photo, the BOSS 8 gauge wire is on the right and the other 8 gauge wire is on the left. In the other photo the BOSS 8 gauge wire is at the bottom and the other 12 gauge wire is at the top. The 12 gauge conductor looks the same size as the BOSS 8 gauge conductor. I question if the BOSS wire is really 8 gauge... Due to the completeness of the kit, I still rate this at 3 stars rather than one star. ... show more
