Solid kit that has everything you’ll need to hook up amp to oem radio. This kit has worked great for 10 months but I just ran into my first problem. Turned on car and no sound out of the radio. Closer inspection revealed that the amp had no power so I took a look at the fuse near the battery in the hood and one cap of the fuse had detached. Fortunately, it was a $2.50 fix from AutoZone who had the same 60 amp fuse in stock. Overall good kit with everything I needed to hook up my amp. Just FYI, that if you lose power to the amp suddenly to first unscrew the caps of the fuse holder to see if the fuse is still in tact. The metal bar inside was in perfect condition yet fuse was busted. I have no idea how long these fuses are supposed to last, but would be a good idea to pick up some inexpensive $2.50 backups for the glove box just in case this happens to you. ... show more

This comes with everything you need, including a LOT of remote wire, which is good, you will still have some left after running the remote from your head unit. The only thing you need to worry about is how you’re going to put a hole through your firewall, that’s literally the most difficult part. Other than that finding a good ground is easy, I just wish the ground wire could be a tiny bit longer, but I understand why it is not. The amp powers my subs well, and boy can they get loud, I’m sure there’s better out there, but if you want something to hook up to and power your subs with minimal research and complications, this one is a great choice. ... show more

Awesome product, negative wire could be a little longer but it worked, fuse burned out and melted a lil bit but I think the wire shook loose so not the manufacturers fault, just make sure those power cords are snug

I recently purchased the BOSS Audio Systems KIT2 8 Gauge Amp Installation Wiring Kit for upgrading the sound system in my car, and it has been an absolute delight to work with. This kit proved to be exactly what I needed for a seamless and efficient installation process. The quality of the cables in this kit is impressive. This product definitely meets the reputation of boss amongst the car audio community and not in a good way. It will get you going but that's about the end of anything good I can say about it. If starting out in this hobby. Please do not use this kit to power any amplifier over 800 watts RMS at the most. If using this for your mids and highs on a midrange or lower budget 400watt 2 channel amplifier this might be about perfect for that. The power and ground wire provided is about 80% rubber insulation and 20% actual wire. Also note that this is CCA and low quality CCA at that. Not OFC or any other type of pure stranded copper. The wire is such low quality that you can literally just pull it apart with minimal effort. I cannot comment or review the quality of the rca cables because I do not know enough about them to give a reliable review. Lastly for those starting off into the hobby as I imagine that you would be If you're viewing this product power is EVERYTHING in a system. You have to have it to make it. I know money is tight to a lot of people including myself but wire should not be where you make cuts in your budget and I learned this from trial and error through actual experience as well as research. If you are running an amplifier that actually puts out over 1,000 watts rms and calls for 4 awg you need to invest in quality ofc wire such as nvx. If possible get an adapter and run 2 runs of it power and ground. You need to look up the "big 3" and do that. This is all very very important. You do not want your power to bottleneck your system. It will run on crappy wire but will significantly reduce output and sound quality. Trust me. I learned the hard way ... show more
