Hear me out... I recently upgraded from 1000 to about 2800 watts running to 2 skar Evl 12s. I wanted to make sure my electrical was perfect, so not only do i have a 2nd battery and a high output alternator, but decided to bite the bullet on this. I didnt believe it would make a difference, but I really felt mt electrical needed a bit more umph. This is single handedly the best upgrade I have ever made to any system. It hold my voltage at idle at 13.4v or higher, even at full bass. No more dimming lights, no more rpm drops...NOTHING. It helped so much, it made me a believer of capacitors. Mind you, I have an XS Power battery up front AND in back, and I would say the capacitor did more than the batteries did as far as keeping voltage up. A few notes: Do the initial charge with the resistor and dont panic if it doesnt start right away. When it does start, youll hear a horrid low voltage alarm, dont panic, this is normal. My voltage on the cap stopped at 8.7v with the resistor, and I decided to hook it up without it (this was about 10 minutes later). Just dont be alarmed when it takes longer than you expect. If youre on the fence, take it from a bass nerd like myself, for $110, you wont regret a single thing about it. ... show more

    • Doesn’t work after a month
Purchased this capacitor and installed per instructions and with resister. Seemed to work and turn on but, after a day sitting the capacitor drains my entire battery dead and does not hold a charge if disconnected for a hour. Contacted customer service only to get the run around saying to spend more money and waste more time shipping it back so they can inspect it and if its faulty they would ship a new one and takes about a month.     • Big review on a great capacitor
So in the video (for some reason no bass recorded on my iPhone), this song is very bass heavy deep long hitting tones. This is in a system w 2 350 watt rms at 2 ohm sound ordinance amps each independently pushing two 10” fosgate p2 series. I turned on my interior lighting and headlights to show there’s no dip in electrical demand on my jeeps system itself. I took another bud but can only upload 1, thanks Amazon. That song was more metal and heavy fast hard hitting bass and still never dropped below 13.3 volts. My system hits HARD and runs at a 2ohm load, honestly this cap held up better than a boss capacitor I had in previously which developed a harmonic resonance that was very annoying in less than a year. My only negative and reason it didn’t get 5 stars is the display shuts off sometimes after 5 ish minutes. The remote lead and all wiring is connected properly so I’m not sure why other than a defect ... show more

Using for power support for a 6000 watt amp pushing 4 dvc 12” subs and a 800 watt amp pushing 2 10” dvc subs all running at 2 ohms and a a crossover with an epicenter and I’m never starving for power! Perfect! If I expand this system I will simply ad another one of these caps! Incredible power support from a relatively small component. Had it in my vehicle for a year now, it seems to work okay but sometimes doesn't seem to work at all. Just recently, I found out it melted my power cable going into it. It seems that the screw to hold the wire in loosened up, it caused resistance leading to heat.
