This a neat handheld built in the styling of a gameboy color. Face buttons all feel good, but the triggers feel a bit janky and awkward to press. Like the original PSP a second analogue on the right is sorely missed. Also don't depend too much on the memory cards shipped with the system, get yourself some quality ones to avoid any corrupted memory headaches. Also the console ships with a few thousand games already installed, quality on these is very hit or miss, with some of those being romhacks or mislabeled. You'll need to be tech savvy or competent with computers to get the most of out of this thing. There's a fairly large scene that puts out custom firmware and updates for the device. The highlight of the device is that the screen looks incredible. If you grew up with the 16bit era games you'll appreciate how much life the screen breathes into the old pixel art. Hardware is beefy enough to run just about anything 32bit era and down but there are definitely some hijinks and issues with some titles. PlayStation titles run great, N64 not so much, and Dreamcast/PSP needs adjusted expectations. Also I couldn't really get into the DS stuff for obvious reasons, but others have reported better results.

Stop searching and buy this bad boy! 10 out of 10! (make sure to get the one that has the games included). awesome little guy I've been playing this thing non stop and has all the classics your searching for plus you can save your progress on basically any game! . if your just trying to turn it on and play you can definitely do that too! but If you want to get the most out of it then I recommend updating it to AMBERELEC I'm not computer savvy at all but the AMBERELEC website shows you step by step instructions how to. I must have watched the you tube videos like 20 times but I got it done haha. just make sure to have a new 16 and a 128 GB memory card and at least 1 micro USB reader (I bought 2 to make it easier) and make sure the reader can handle up to 128 GB! HAVE FUN!

This was functioning fantastically for my son, and we had no issues with saving games or function. However, EXACTLY 1 month after purchase, the battery will no longer hold a charge. We have only ever used the original charger for this, and the system now will ONLY run if plugged into the charger, which indicates a defective batter. If someone from the company would contact us, I would be happy to discuss an exchange.

If possible, purchase from this seller. I’m not getting anything for saying this, all I can tell you is that I picked this listing after a ton of research. There are many sellers offering this product on Amazon. The problem is, each seller is charge of what they choose to include. Everyone I showed this too ended up buying one as well. Some accidentally picked other sellers and received theirs with way less games, or even just one sd card. This seller includes 2 sd cards, which you want for maximum performance. One to run the system, and one for games. It’s highly recommended to upgrade the cards anyway. I purchased a 256gb card for games and a 16gb for the system, both are Sandisk extreme. They work great, and are affordable upgrades. That’s all you need to get the most out of this guy. Watch the videos on YouTube and they’ll tell you all you need to know. I changed the firmware to 351ELEC, I highly recommend this upgrade. It’s super easy if you watch the YouTube videos. It’s easier to operate and customize just about everything imaginable! It also plays the systems that are more demanding, much smoother. I included a video that shows all the systems I currently have loaded. For every system you see, I have the complete ROM library for all. I’m OCD and I can’t just include a few from each. I need every release possible. So when I feel like it, I can browse and play ANY game made for just about ANY system from the early 2000s and back. I have no issue playing Sega CD, PlayStation, Panasonic 3DO, N64, etc…. Dreamcast works but not every game, it’s a struggle but I can live with that. The only system I cannot figure out to get working is Atari Jaguar, I need more research to get it going. This is the best purchase I’ve made in years. It’s incredibly fun and easy to carry with you anywhere! EVERYONE will ask what it is, and EVERYONE will want one. So be prepared to share the link with these people. But beware, you’ll become the person they ask for help setting it up lol. I’m actually purchasing a few more, to set up the same way. The 256GB mini sd can fit every one of these games. I still have room. I love how easy it is to “scrape.” For those that don’t know, you can choose to include artwork, the game box art, front and back, the fully scanned original manual, and a video demo, of EVERY game, to help when browsing for what to play. The screensaver can be set up to play these videos at random, i can sit and watch it for so long. There are so many choices, I’ll find myself sitting in bed or on the couch at night, just browsing games and watching the videos, reading the manuals, checking out cover art, and not even playing the games! But when you do it’s amazing. You can play old games and save the progress when you’re done, something you could do back in the day. There’s way too many functions to list here, it’s all online. What are you waiting for. This is an incredible steal! For around $150, if you buy the sd card upgrades, you have tens of thousands of games at your fingertips. This one comes ready to go, without having to do any work, with over 20,000 games. At least mine did. I currently have over 30,000. It’s easy to go up to 50,000 when you add the super old 70s and early 80s computer games, the files are so tiny and there seems to a million of them. But you’ll probably stick to the systems you see I have in my video. Anyway, enjoy!

I have had several similar devices over the years and none of them are even close to how awesome this one is. It is the perfect size and has a very large and crisp screen for its size. I absolutely love it. The GBA and SNES emulation (which is the main reason I bought it) is absolutely flawless. I paid extra for the DHL shipping and received it in less than a week. I can not say enough good things -- I love it.
