I got a hobby CNC machine not too long ago and these cut well enough for my needs. I'm by no means an expert nor do I use my CNC daily but for hobby work I do highly recommend these.

I started with one of the end cut bits and it started amazing, but within 20 minutes of cutting on my cnc, it started dulling quickly and then started smoking dull. I am rating this 4 stars because the tapered bit and v groove bit are doing great, I have 3 hours on the tapered bit and its running as sharp as the first run. The v bit is doing the same. It is hard to find good v bits and tapered bits, so I will gladly pay this price for those two bits and just consider the two end cuts as extra junk bits I can use on nonimportant cuts.

The above photos show cuts made with the V bit and the downcut bit from this set of four carbide CNC bits. I ordered them for use in a router, not a CNC machine, and this may explain my poorer than expected results. I really had hoped for nice crisp, clean cuts. As you can see, the bits leave a ragged surface. I could clean these up without much effort, but I don't think I should have to. That said, I have to confess to being an amateur with the router. I was using the bits in soft pine and not for their intended use, so you should take my disappointment with a grain of salt. If you plan to use them in a CNC machine or in hard wood, you may get much better results.

Wow, I really like this set. I have a few others that I think are equally good in my tool box, but these come out to roughly half the cost. The Tapered Router Bit is worth the cost of the set. Compared to my old version, this one is outstanding. I milled a few pieces with it so far and I have been amazed at how sharp the designs have come out. I've used the 1/4' bits for clearing passes and then this Tapered to finallize a carve and they work great together. I also really like the "V" groove bit. A 90 degree V is a pretty standard bit for carves, but this one has also performed really well in my testing. All of these bits are on the top of my kit now. I think this combined with a good quality 1/4" compression bit is all you need to start making outstanding projects on your CNC.

I haven't used up and down cut plunge bits before, but at the price for this set, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Other dealers sell one bit for almost the same cost as this whole set, and similar sets sell for a great deal more than this one. They are sharp and look well build. Should work well for the sort of woodworking projects I build.

These work well in a Shaper Origin as a low-cost option when doing prototyping and templates. The coating appears to help a bit in reducing accumulation of resin on the bit. So far holding up well after a few quick jobs on fairly hard ash. Individually packaged and well marked.
