  • Seems to be good quality
It will be awhile before I get to run it but, it is packaged very well. Except for one thing. They ship it with the piston in the cylinder with absolutely nothing between the piston and cylinder to prevent scratching or marring. Like the dumbest thing I've seen in awhile. A simple piece of paper wrapped around the piston would suffice. Yes, it would be hard for an aluminum piston to scratch a steel cylinder but, the wiggling around in shipping could absolutely scuff the cylinder walls (same thing that happens when the rings fail, the aluminum piston scuffs the walls). Luckily, mine was okay. Yours may not be. Inspect the cylinder walls thoroughly. Other than that, it's sealed, packaged tight and double boxed. A+. Machining is good. Fit is perfect. Finish is flawless. To the naked eye anyway. We'll see in due time and use. ... show more

  • Good Quality jug and head kit
Good quality easy install. I wish it would come with the two 6x110mm fastners for the outside part of the jug as the old ones were pretty rusty. I recommend getting 3-4 oil changes for break in. I felt the gaskets that came with the kit were fine. I used them and it has been fine. Please note this and any other engine kit will smoke some until the rings and cylinder wear together.   • Rebuild Kit Worked Great
I order this kit for my 2006 Honda Rancher ES 2x4. Fit and finish is perfect and the four wheeler runs as it should. I am very pleased with the kit and would recommended it to someone needing to rebuild their Honda Rancher.

  • No more smoke and good power increase
Takes a bit of work to rebuild but this kit seriously comes with everything! Added a good bit of power to my 2001 Rancher which needed a jet change up to a 142.5 for it to have enough fuel to leave the plug a light golden brown. No longer does the poor thing smoke like a steam engine, and it even poots out a little flame if I romp it and let off allowing it to compression brake. I see no reason why this engine rebuild won't last years to come and I will likely do the same kit to my other Rancher when the time comes. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It came with almost everything you need to rebuilt your top end. Just remember to take the dowels from your old head and transfer them over to your new head. I screwed up and had to take everything apart because I forgot the dowels. But this product is amazing. Worked perfectly used to have to mess with the choke and the throttle to get my bike started and now it starts up instantly. ... show more

  • Honest review, works good if you take the time
I bought this because it was a cheaper way to fix my 02 rancher. I will say I used Honda OEM gaskets instead of these because I didn't want to take my chances, and i used HONDABOND as well, after watching a few YouTube videos and carefully making sure nothing was dropped into the motor and after getting a new head bolt (the 2 small ones are likely to break even if ur careful so be sure to use lubricants on them) it's running good now. I have gotten past the break in part of the engine (ab 10 hours total on it so far) and it's still running good. HOWEVER, there is 2 extra bolts on the side of the head and one fell out so I put it back in and when I put it in it sounds more clicky in the top end than with it out, (not valves I adjusted them to spec) and the bolt hole let's exhaust gas out and I would feel it on my leg, so I just put the bolt back in and put hondabond on it and called it good. DISCLAIMER - On the cylinder jug itself it says 329cc I do not know if this was done solely to replicate the looks of a stock jug or if this kit is actually 329cc. ... show more

  • Quality seems good.
Item was exactly as advertised. Piston and rings were in tolerance and gaskets worked well. My knocking issue has been solved with this kit. I did not use the gasket sealer or thread locker provided, I personally prefer honda bond and loctite brands. It will require you to adjust your carburetor to account for the bigger bore size.
