  • Lots of power in a single handed saw.
Size: 12 Inch
Very sturdy but light enough that single handed operation is nothing to worry about, easy start and very smooth running engine. Makes very quick work of small branches and great for squaring up firewood.

  • Great little saw for the $$$
Size: 12 Inch
PROs: Great little saw for the low $$$. Use high percentage oil with high-quality oil (I'm using 25:1 Amsoil 2-stroke) and like ANY two-stroke equipment like a saw, don't work it at 100% right after start. You have to allow these engines to warm up a bit and work up the workload to get them fully warmed up. I love these type of saws for small work because you can use them one-handed while controlling the work with the other hand. It is reliable and runs well, and although the recoil start is very low effort, it takes several pulls to initially get it started. Once warmed it up it usually starts in one pull. CONs: It takes several pulls to initially start it when cold, but since the pulls are easy, I can live with that. Like others have said, it does tend to stall out faster - I can live with that for what I am using it for. Like others have mentioned, Biggest CON - it is overly loud even at idle. My 14" Ryobi is much quieter. If this thing was much quieter, it could be one of the best saws of its type (and cost) out there. ... show more

  • It WORKS GREAT
Size: 12 Inch
IF you are cutting a lot of BIG Trees, or cutting LOTS of wood because you heat prrimarly with wood---this saw is not for you. IF you are cutting or limbing smaller trees under 12 inches diameter, and are a home hanyman, THIS SAW IS FOR YOU. I have cut almot a cord since I have had it few months. It workd good and is very light weight. Do not run out of chain oil, or you will ruin the bar and chain. Do not cut a downed tree all the way thru to the ground. The dirt will ruin the chain. Cut most of the way thru and roll the log over tofinish cutting. If you treat is easy anddont throw it around, you will have it for years. Only use non ethanol gas in it. Do not store it more than a couple months with fuel in it. Pour all the fuel out or run it dry. That way you will not mess up the carb. ... show more

  • so difficult to install the mind-boggling chain cover...
Size: 12 Inch
it is so difficult to install what i guess is called chain cover. And even after I finally could installed it, the chain doesn't even move. I am exhausted. The problem seems to be due to A (see the photo attached) doesn't fit into B (looks like a ring - I am not sure if that would highly possibly generate lots of heat even if A would fit into B. The manual is hard to read. Several people tried to help me through "Customer questions & answers" but no one seems to see the problem that I tried to show with the photo here. I guess I could install the "chain cover (B in the photo)" later. PROBLEMS: (1) the chain speed was extremely slow and cut nothing, though; (2) I got smoke coming out of the area (B in the photo) instead of exhaustion [6/3/2023] So any potential buyer should know this (check the second photo). This is all that I could do with the chain cover. Like I said, if I managed to install it in a normal-looing way, then the chain speed is very low, generating heat in the cover. If I run it without the chain cover installed, it seems running so normal. So the chain cover prevents it from working normal. Yet no one seems to understand what the problem is in the chain cover. By the way if I continue to work in the way that the second photo shows, the nuts get loosed and chain comes out of the guide. Unsafe. ... show more

  • Great price great weight
Size: 12 Inch
Great little saw. I have been using it to clear a very large bank behind my house I just bought. This has not been cleared for at least 30 years . It has english ivy that the vines on some are at least 5 inches round never have seen anything this bad. I can squeeze into the vines with this saw use it with one hand . Really makes doing this job a lot easier . Will cut a fairly big limb or piece of wood. For the price this saw is really great. Whats nice the chains do not cost that much so I have 4 using it for this job always hitting the chain in the dirt so I always have a sharp chain. KEEP ON SAWING ... show more

  • Good little saw
Size: 12 Inch
Is this a great saw? It is for the money. This is not a $700 arborist saw. Don't think it'll be one. It's just the compact size of one. But it's a very effective, lightweight, top handle chainsaw. Plastics are lower quality (don't beat it around or toss it on the ground). It's underpowered. And the chain that comes with it is terrible (after 5 cuts I threw it away because it kept binding at the connections to the links). So I picked up a Oregon chain for it. That really helped it out. This little guy will cut (and cut well) if you let it cut at its pace. Don't rush it. It's not meant to do that. It's not a racing saw. It does have adjustable bar oil output. That's a cool feature. And a small felling dog which helps it bite when you need it too. It has all the tools you need for the initial setup and tuning the carb. I don't think I'll be using the fuel bottle that came with it. And the little flat head screwdriver has a "flag" sticking off one side if it to help you see how much your actually turning the jet and idle screws. The agility is where this thing is truly awesome. I used it in my neighbor's back yard to clear some small stuff. I was previously using my modified Stihl MS261 for that. I'll leave my MS261 in the case and grab this little guy for these tasks from now on. This thing pops off at the 3rd pull at full choke (cold start). Then normally starts the 2nd pull on half choke and runs like a champ. I ran it for about 25 to 30 minutes letting it work some (not wanting to really push it hard until it's broken in), shut it down, waited 5 minutes, and tried to restart it. Fired right back up on the second pull. The manual says 25:1 ratio for gas/oil mix. But the top of the saw says 35:1. I'll put in my own mix and see what happens (top tier ethanol free gas with octane boost and FD rated 2 cycle oil). That's what all my other equipment gets. And the people having trouble putting the clutch cover on is because you must have the chain brake off before you can put the cover on. The chain brake won't fit over the clutch if it's in the "on" position. I'm very happy snagging this little saw. I've been running chainsaws for 20 years (homeowner and pro saws). This little thing is fun. I was having a great time in my neighbor's back yard with it. And my neighbor was happy to have that stuff cut. So we were both smiling because if this little guy. ... show more
