  • Works great
Well my husband is not going to review this so I will. Got it for him for Christmas. He says it's a great Saw. He's always out in the woods trimming stuff now. Our winter wood pile is growing. It must not be too hard to set up since he's a computer engineer/nerd and fairly unhandy (sorry, honey ... truth ... unless you want help with an electronics issue..... but he won't read this anyway lol) I'm happy with it because I dont have to worry about him chopping off his foot with an axe any more or something flying up and hitting his shin (it happened more than once)...although watching him wield an ax did make my heart flutter ;) He's also been able to clear all of the stupid English ivy that was trying to kill the trees in our woods ... show more

  • Awesome little powerhouse
Amazing little saw starts and runs better than my $400 saw. Definitely recommend super light and easy to handle. This is my go to even though I have many others to chose from

  • DO NOT BUY!!!
Would not recommend at all!!! After 15 min the saw overheated, the gas tank exploded and my right side caught fire sending me to the hospital. Amazon will not do anything to make this right other than say contact the manufacturer. There is no manufacturer to be found, no number, no email, nothing to be found on the web and no way to contact them. They will walk you through the app for it just to send you back to Amazon then the customer service person will tell you that's not true. I absolutely would not buy or recommend this saw to a single person, it could absolutely get you injured or killed. You definitely get what you pay for and Amazon will do absolutely nothing to help out or give you any information. The only way to resolve this is with legal actions against Amazon because the refuse to provide any manufacturing information. They will just give you the run around or pretend they can't understand you and hang up causing you to go through hours of robots and repetitive questions from one person to another. If you buy this after reading this you are not to bright. ... show more

  • Value!
I bought this to cut down two trees in our back yard. I assembled the saw, filled it with oil for the chain, and fuel mix for the engine. It started after a few pulls, be sure to give the fuel bulb a few pushes to prime the carburetor before cold starting it. Also flip the little rocker switch to the on position, ( It is easy to accidentally flip it to off because of where the switch is located so check that if you have trouble starting it.) DO not adjust the chain to tight, it need to be easily moved by hand after adjustment. There is an oil flow adjusting screw on bottom of the saw. Gently Tighten the screw to slow or stop the oil flow, ( it only flows when the saw is running fast). I adjusted mine somewhere in the middle. I always start the saw and then while holding it in front of the tree trunk, I rev the saw and watch that the chain sprays a small line of oil against the trunk. Not too much though. The saw will cut well, dont force it or bind it. Do not run the saw into the ground, it will dull the chain right away. The chain that came with it almost finished cutting the two trees down, and then I installed a new chain and completed my work. The rat tail file they include is junk, if you want to touch up the sharpness of the chain, buy a good sharpening file. Watch several YouTube videos on how to use and maintain a chainsaw and be very careful. This is not a toy and will cut off an arm or a leg just as easily a a tree limb. Wear hearing and eye protection and I recommend a good pair of snug fitting leather gloves. Do not over extend your arms while trimming off tree branches from a ladder, keep good balance. ... show more

  • Good little saw
Is this a great saw? It is for the money. This is not a $700 arborist saw. Don't think it'll be one. It's just the compact size of one. But it's a very effective, lightweight, top handle chainsaw. Plastics are lower quality (don't beat it around or toss it on the ground). It's underpowered. And the chain that comes with it is terrible (after 5 cuts I threw it away because it kept binding at the connections to the links). So I picked up a Oregon chain for it. That really helped it out. This little guy will cut (and cut well) if you let it cut at its pace. Don't rush it. It's not meant to do that. It's not a racing saw. It does have adjustable bar oil output. That's a cool feature. And a small felling dog which helps it bite when you need it too. It has all the tools you need for the initial setup and tuning the carb. I don't think I'll be using the fuel bottle that came with it. And the little flat head screwdriver has a "flag" sticking off one side if it to help you see how much your actually turning the jet and idle screws. The agility is where this thing is truly awesome. I used it in my neighbor's back yard to clear some small stuff. I was previously using my modified Stihl MS261 for that. I'll leave my MS261 in the case and grab this little guy for these tasks from now on. This thing pops off at the 3rd pull at full choke (cold start). Then normally starts the 2nd pull on half choke and runs like a champ. I ran it for about 25 to 30 minutes letting it work some (not wanting to really push it hard until it's broken in), shut it down, waited 5 minutes, and tried to restart it. Fired right back up on the second pull. The manual says 25:1 ratio for gas/oil mix. But the top of the saw says 35:1. I'll put in my own mix and see what happens (top tier ethanol free gas with octane boost and FD rated 2 cycle oil). That's what all my other equipment gets. And the people having trouble putting the clutch cover on is because you must have the chain brake off before you can put the cover on. The chain brake won't fit over the clutch if it's in the "on" position. I'm very happy snagging this little saw. I've been running chainsaws for 20 years (homeowner and pro saws). This little thing is fun. I was having a great time in my neighbor's back yard with it. And my neighbor was happy to have that stuff cut. So we were both smiling because of this little guy. Update: I've been using this little thing for over a year. Had something come up where I needed to cut a few things the other day. It still works well. I ended up ditching the original bar and picked up an Oregan brand bar for it. That was a worth while upgrade. ... show more
