This thing is essential for starting seeds. I prefer using it without the baffles. Vary the pitch and the click pressure to adjust the seeding rate to the desired level, don't be scared about the reviews of people saying it doesn't work, there are also warnings on coffee saying that it is hot and can cause burns.     • Still not the perfect mousetrap.
I did not find this to be able to dispense seeds individually the way that I had hoped. Tapping on the side was more effective than using the click wheel. I had the feeling that sanding down the height of the ridges that slow the seed dispersal may be worth trying as a modification.

I got this for my father, and he really loved it. I don't know how well it works, but he did play with it a bit on Christmas, and it held together and did what he expected.

    • Works but can be a pain
This Cedar is easy to use but there are too many consistencies with seeds. You end up spending a lot of time keeping the seeds from bunching up at the exit hole. I suppose if Seeds where all consistent in shape and size it would work fine.
