Bought this because my son has one and after a few years of use it is still functional! And because the wall panel and screen panels that are available - turn it into a decent, but heavy tent. There are loops to tie down each corner to protect from a strong breeze, but I'm guessing any real wind and you'll want to take it down. The canopy is sturdy and easy and quick to setup with 2 people, but difficult and slow for one. one wheel on the case arrived broken - we don't need wheels, so we'll probably just break them both off. The bag in general is not as good of quality as the canopy.

Let me start by saying this is the first product review for me ever. I am reviewing this product because I am extremely disappointed in the product. I was buying a canopy to replace my three year old canopy that broke because camping season was starting for us. I looked at several stores and throughout Amazon and settled on this canopy. I was looking for something sturdy and well made and this canopy bragged about being commercial grade and reinforced beams so I thought it would last. I was wrong. When the canopy arrived the box was pretty damaged and when we opened the box sure enough the plastic covering of one of the legs was cracked (see picture). We decided to go on and use it because our annual Memorial Day camp trip was only a few days away. We went camping Memorial Day weekend expecting some storms so I went on and bought the weighted plates for extra support and to take the beach in July. We got a storm overnight like expected. We had the canopy down on its lowest setting to help keep it from catching wind but it didn't work. We woke up to our canopy being blown over into another campsite and broken. The "reininforced" beams did not hold up as one broke and now the canopy is useless. The roof which was suppose to be tougher material developed a rip that renders it useless as well. I am attaching pictures below so you can make a better decision than I did. I bought this canopy excited and hoping I'd finally found a good quality, durable, canopy that would last. Instead I waisted $150 and now have no canopy. I do not recommend this canopy and am extremely frustrated with its durability. It arrived busted and was blown over by a storm and broken despite the proper precaution I and the maker had taken to "reinforce" the product. Look elsewhere.

Perfect. We practiced one time in the backyard. The first time in an unimproved campground we took a few moments to spot a reasonably flat piece of ground, took our C100 out and had the frame and the top up in about the same time as it took our friends to turn the cranks to convert their tent trailer to the camper tent. It took a few additional minutes to put on the screen panel kit. That would have been shorter if we had labeled the top as starting point in our practice run. This was put up in a light wind (it blew the screen around a bit but not enough wind to move the top panel at all). Two people in their mid-sixties, not particularly in the best shape did this with ease. I don't think it could be done by a single person as you need to grab opposing corners and back away from each other in the initial stages. We used it for 3 days in nice weather. It provided bright shade and safety from the mosquitos. Update: we have now had the canopy, screens and shade panels for 3 years. We still use it a lot in the summer, both when camping and at home. It is great for family gatherings in backyard or on the deck, as a place to put food out of the sun and away from bugs. It is a bit of a challenge for two people in our late 60's to put up, but well worth the effort. It is still in great shape and has required nothing more than an occasional sponging for cleaning. No other maintenance has been required. It has also served to keep chairs and table dry during short, light rains. Probably would work in heavier weather if the seams were waxed, but we don't picnic or camp much in the rain and have not bothered with it.

I camp a lot and have used quite a few different canopies. Overall I'm pretty happy with this one. The frame is pretty sturdy. The locking mechanisms for the legs and roof are very nice. They are not the cheap spring loaded silver buttons you find on most canopies. The cheaper ones sometimes get out of alignment and do not pop out. This canopy has a much better design with little plastic levers that seems much more robust and will probably last longer. I have only used the canopy three times so far, time will tell. The only complaints I have are with the top and the carrying case. The top attaches to the frame with Velcro only at the 4 corners. No attachment points anywhere else on the frame. This causes the sides of the top to move around and get stuck on the wrong side of the frame if any wind is blowing. With other canopies I usually leave the top on when I store the canopy. I can't really do this with the Quick Shade canopy. Due to the lack of attachment points the top does not store still attached to the frame, it gets tangled up in the frame and seems like it could easily rip during the next deployment, so I just take it off... but this leads to my next complaint. The carrying case does not really give you enough room to store the top or the side panel. It's *really* hard to fold up both and have them fit in the case. I am used to snug fitting carrying cases for camping gear, but this is just plain too small. I am really considering finding a plastic tote or some other case for this canopy. Lastly I don't like the handle configuration on the carrying case. It does not have a shoulder strap or a handle in the middle of the case. So you have to carry it with two hands. The case does have wheels and is meant to roll, but that doesn't really work for camping. A few last things worth mentioning: this canopy is heavy. I don't mind the weight because I wanted something more sturdy than your typical walmart canopy. Also don't expect to be using the side panel in any kind of wind lol.
