Description

FIMCO ATV Dry Material Spreader easily disperses seed, dry granular fertilizer, chemical, ice melt and other dry materials. Spreader includes rain cover and mounting brackets to attach to most standard ATV cargo racks and bolts to dry material spreader frame. An optional 2 inch hitch mounting bracket is available for larger UTV and standard pickups. The 12 volt motor with variable speed control allows you to vary the spread width from 5 feet to 45 feet. Versatile and easy to use, it features a 2.2 cubic foot capacity poly hopper that holds up to 145 lbs of material and a stainless steel radial 6 blade fan.

    • Will not spread evenly or consistently
Purchased to utilize on rear of a RTV for spreading de-icing material. Sporadic at best with material, motor is too small for weight of simply salt, fuses in unit blow every time unit is turned on. Adjustable controller has no Knob. Flow valve looks like a creation from a middle school shop class...and works just about as well until the RTV hits a bump, which is what you will need to keep running over to keep the motor spinning. Not worth the money wasted for sure. ... show more

I'm pretty happy with the purchase, and will likely buy another one. We retro'd the mount to fit our eXmarkZ and Ferris mowers. This equipment is great, when it works right. I had some issues centering the spread pattern, it was way off. Got it sorted out. Got it bolted to the front end of my mower and for the most part it works great. It is hard to get the motor turning when you first start. I have to cycle the power several times and then it usually gets going. I have to keep a push spreader available in my truck because I never know when this thing isn’t going to work. Secondly, even with light weight grass seed, it will not spin faster than setting 5 on the speed control. It will start pulsing and then shut down. The machine gets the job done, but, it’s not dependable and does not spread as advertised. I have tried to contact the seller through Amazon with no response. ... show more
