Why did you pick this product vs others?: First let me just say, this thing was not easy to put together and it put stuff all over your hands. I honestly gave up on this half way though assembly and stored it in my shed. This would definitely be durable but it's rounded metal so that in itself has some positives and negatives. Also, the string that holds the swing, nope..it in no way would hold any of my chickens. I gave it 4 stars only because of its durability.

Disappointing Quality, Functional but Flimsy As an electrician, I'm genuinely not impressed with the quality of this product. While it might technically function as intended, its flimsy construction raises concerns about durability and long-term performance. My immediate issue was with the top clamping portion, which was so misaligned that I'll need to drill my own holes to straighten it out. Even after that, the overall assembly feels wobbly. I'm also concerned about rust; it appears to be made from lightweight, thin galvanized steel conduit, which I suspect won't hold up well to the elements. Putting it together was straightforward, even without instructions just a parts list and a picture. However, that ease of assembly doesn't outweigh the quality concerns. Would I recommend it? Probably not. If you have the tools and expertise to build something similar yourself with sturdier electrical components, you'd likely end up with a far superior product. For those who can't, this might be a "decent value for the money" out of necessity, but be prepared for its shortcomings.

I was able to quickly and easily put this together by myself. I don't have the related cage but I put this up in my existing homemade coop. The chickens have been roosting on it so it's a success! A few times they have jumped on the swing and right back off, so not sure yet if they like that part. No signs of wobbling or falling so it appears to be sturdy. Works as I hoped, the chickens have more roosting options!

This ladder/swing combo was fairly simple to assemble, the chickens enjoy the roost but Im not sure how long lasting the swing will be as it attached with only a very thin piece of hemp type rope that is included. The roosting bars are fairly sturdy but since they are all metal I fear it might heat up too hot in the summer high temps and irritate or burn my chickens feet so I will most likely wrap the bars in rope or something. The price is decent for the product.

The way that it is listed with the cage measurements had me thinking I was getting that cage with the ladder and swing included boy was I disappointed. I wont use what I actually got but I have a few issues with it the rungs are rounded and too small for chickens to grab onto and its also slippery I would be worried about them falling and slipping tendons and I hadn't planned on using the ladder and swing but i was going to use the cage. Also its metal if it gets to hot it could burn their feet and if it gets to cold it could cause frost bite.

This was somewhat challenging to put together by yourself. Also could not for the life of me figure out how it was supposed to attach and where. It is a sturdy roost for chickens to lounge on. The swing is a nice added extra. I put it together and put it up today. Spacing between each roost is adequate for a large bird. Swing on back end can accompany more than one chicken. Wider than it seemed which is why it was challenging for one person.
