I actually really like this safe. It does fit up to a full size 8'' handgun, but be mindful if you have a light attached. It wont fit. But since it is foam inside, i was able to take a knife and cut the hole to make it larger and my Springfield Echelon with a TLR fits perfectly in it now. Easy to install, easy to set up. I like that there is a USB-c so I don't have to worry about batteries dying. Shoot it would suck if you end up in a situation and the batteries dead and you're panicking to find the keys lol.

Pretty good little gun safe that is designed to mount/hang from either side or from the top. Due to the nature of the hinge mechanism, this cannot be stood on it's base, as that would prevent the safe from opening. Nonetheless, the two types of mounting plates are provided for this and the side mounting plate can be used on either side of the safe. The interior is fitted with foam cut out for a single handgun that will easily hold most full-sized models. If desired, I'm sure the interior could be modified to hold 2 x semi-automatics, but it would be a tight fit. Access is controlled via a keypad or key (two are provided). While I'm not crazy about the keypad operating on AAA batteries (AA is far more standard and would provide a much longer battery life), I'm relieved to see a USB port provided to provide temporary power in the situation that your batteries die and you can't find your keys. As an added indicator of attention to detail, the USB port is located on both sides of the screen (remember, you can mount this on either side, which would effectively block a USB port) and are the current USB-C size. Although the description and the provided instruction manual both talk about fingerprint readers, none is provided on this model. Bummer. *edit* I do note that another model is now offered with the biometric reader. Changing your security code is very easy and I appreciate the additional thought put into this by providing the option to silence the keystrokes. After all, if you're trying to be stealthy in accessing your firearm, do you really want this thing beeping each time you press a button? However, I'm not crazy about the short whirring motor sound this gun safe makes when it opens. Again, I prefer to be as quiet and stealthy as possible. {shrugs} Added bonus: they did provide a soft rubber bumper at the bottom to silence any clanging sound from the door suddenly dropping open. Nice! The final attention to detail I like is the internal led. I noticed a reviewer mention a lack of. Not sure if they failed to put batteries in theirs but this does indeed have a small light that provides you enough illumination to see and grab your firearm in the dark. Overall, quite pleased with this product with some small room for improvements but still solid enough to recommend.

This is a great gun safe. Its easy to set up and install the brackets for your ideal spot. It comes with 2 different mounts to be able to put it where you want. Its very easy and quick to set up the password and thumbprint. It opens very fast as well. Great safe

Please be aware if you pistol has been upgraded with optics and s light it may not fit. This safe is built only for pistol with little or no upgrades. I upgraded my HK VP9 with a light and optics and had a hard time to store my pistol in this safe. I ended up taking out the foam and cutting it to fit.
