I had to cut the rubber and metal straps to fit my craftsman / mtd. I used grade 8 bolts with top-lock nuts instead of the supplied hardware. Definitely helps blow the snow further.

Over all this is not that difficult to install . You will have to do a little trimming to get the rubber paddles to the right length . The problem is that the bolts that they send or about an half inch to short . So get ready to make trip to the hardware store . The bolts that they send are barely long enough to go through the rubber paddles .

Parts were missing on the 1st shipment but they promptly sent replacement kit before i even got it shipped back. Now that's what you call customer service! It's very sturdy parts that I'm sure will do the job! Recommended

I wanted to like this kit but some hardware is missing. The hardware does seem to be good quality.

My impeller blade is made out of molded plastic, which is thicker than sheet metal. That means the included bolts were not long enough to go through and attach the nut on the other side. The bolts would only be long enough if your mounting surface is flat and about 1/8” thick. My impeller is flat on one side and curved on the other. I was able to purchase longer bolts and still use the rest of the equipment. Like most things, different equipment has different specifications, so it’s not unusual to need to modify things to meet your needs. With this set, and my modifications, I was able to close my gap down to a tighter tolerance. We were already towards the end of our snow season, so I didn’t get to try out the blower too much after installing the new parts, but with the little I did operate our blower it did seem to blow the snow further.
