This mattress is my first hybrid. It is 14" thick. My impression was the coils were compressed and individually wrapped with a significant amount to memory foam on top. The reality is the coils are about 11 inches with the rest memory foam. You can feel the coils on the side of the mattress. So, it is not as good quality, but it is ok for this price point. The mattress is firm, with no sag, and the topper seems to be a nice quality. My wife and I sleep really well with no back or knee pain. It is springy if you plop down on it, and I suspect that it will continue to be springy as the springs wear. They claim a 10 year warrantee. We will see. The bad: The delivery was quick. However, when I opened the fairly damaged box, I noticed that the plastic on one side of the mattress was worn through and part of the mattress springs were exposed. I have pictures here. After the mattress expanded, I taped the spots so that the springs would not wear further. It also showed me how little the springs were protected on the bottom. I am hoping they will not break through. I am sure it was due to the packing Not sure how the damage could happen after it was boxed. It was only on one side. Luckily, the damage is on the bottom, toward the end, and I put that part at the foot of the bed. When rotating the mattress, it will be at the head. Both are not significant load bearing. Overall: I am pleased with the mattress. When I am looking for a replacement in a few years, I will definitely look for another hybrid that is as firm as this one.
