Easy to assemble (see note below) and sturdy. Significant step up in quality from the under $300 rattan furniture. Can't speak to longevity yet though. Note: the legs are angled in 2 directions (left/right and front/back). This means they have to be placed in the correct spot (they are not interchangeable). It's subtle, and easy to initially place them wrong. When I first assembled (without reading the directions, of course) the chairs were wobbly and seemed to have different leg lengths. This is the cause of most 1 start reviews. Had to remove the legs and place in the correct spot, then it was fine (true of the table as well). Edit: looks good after 1 year uncovered for the seasons (covered in winter) ... show more

I wanted to buy some additional seating to go with the aesthetic of my current outdoor backyard furniture - which is light colored wood, and natural elements. It was actually tough finding something to match my need, until I found this set. They are nice chairs to sit on, but the kind the host would sit on and let their guests sit on their comfier chairs - I would say it feels like how you would think it feels sitting on it by looking at the pictures. The cushions are more padded than normal outdoor cushions in my opinion, which is nice. The side table is a plus, and looks great. I have outdoor waterproof furniture covers on all three pieces to protect the wicker, so I cannot comment on how it withstands outdoor weather much, only that it still looks and performs great whenever I take the covers off. ... show more

This is a classy furniture set. I use it in my front porch. I put both in 5' by 6' space. I would assume this is great for balconies too! The seat depth is comfortable! Follow instructions patiently while putting it together. Do not assume all the legs are the same kind. They are different for the stool and the chairs. And the front legs and back legs flair out so to get it right you need to read the labels and instructions right ... show more

I put this set together last night and it was super easy. I have no issues with any damage, except that I was missing one washer, and that's not a big deal to me. I am having my house painted and I can't wait to put this set outside. I love it and especially like the quality of the cushions.
