Bought this for a 8 year old but I use it as well and here’s why I love it. Hopefully this review helps you because it took me buying 2 other ones to finally settle with this one. Set up is easy. When you unbox it, it has the pump, the punching bag, a bag with boxing gloves and then a bag with the book and patches. Setting up and understanding the instructions was easy. You remove the white cap, I’d definitely put about 5-6 gallons of water in it, then cap that hole. Then in the same base, using the other hole, use the pump to inflate the balance of the base where water is. Then simply use the inflator adapters and fill with air the balance of the bag. Total time to assemble took 5-6 min. The gloves are ok for a kid, not very comfortable but function well. My kid can beat on this thing and it bounces back with little effort. He loves it and won’t stop beating on this thing. Definitely fun for kids. I also decided to beat on this bag. If I hit it hard, it wouldn’t bounce back well and fall over. So we let the air out of the base and filled it up with a few more gallons of water and now it can take a beating from me and bounce back. Height wise, once inflated, it’s about 5’8. If you’re going to drag it along tile or wooden floor, maybe put a towel down so you can drag the towel because this thing is heavy and you don’t want to stress any seams on the base, otherwise you might spring a leak……however you’re in luck, they provide a few patches. Over all, it’s a great punching bag for the $$. Hope this helps ... show more

Nice product, but it’s not very stable. It flies all over the room when punched. This toy is better suited for very young kids, around 3–4 years old, since they’re not strong enough to knock it over easily. For my 9-year-old, though, it ended up being a waste of time.
