The only problem is, if your knives are sharp, they'll cut through the threading that makes the knife sections. O bought some heavy duty apholstry thread and reinforced the existing thread.

This is a solid knife caddy, but would have been better if it had some knives slot the other direction so all the handles don't wind up fighting for the same space when it's rolled up.

I have a collection of kitchen knives and don't want them to sit in a drawer and risk reaching into that sharp stuff. So I looked for a bag to hold them in a more organized way that would be safer than reaching into a drawer full of cutting implements. This bag works great for my needs. It has slots for each knife, which hold them securely with the point protected by canvas. There is room enough for all the kitchen knives I have. Each of the slots has two layers, so you can fit two knives in each space, separated by the canvas fabric. This prevents the blades from rubbing together or becoming damaged. The only problem with that design is that the handles are doubled up when you use both slots, since they are on top of each other. Not bad if you have blades with thin handles, but doesn't work well with thicker handles. There is a flap of fabric on top that folds neatly over the knives. You can then roll it up and secure the bundle with the two buckles. A carrying handle is included too. The flap of fabric prevents the knives from slipping out the top of the bundle as you carry it. The fabric itself is plain canvas, so it may wear over time, especially with the tips of the blades being inside the pockets. I would like to figure out a way to protect the base of each pocket so that the blades don't cut through them over time and with more use. It works for my needs, since I just use my knives in the kitchen. Chefs that do a lot of traveling may need something with a little thicker fabric and more protection of the pockets so that it will last longer.
