Sturdy, and long enough to accent thick, curly hair (any curl pattern) in an updo. I say 'accent' rather than 'secure' because I still need a few hidden hair pins to hold my uber-thick hair when I use it. Love it no less though. Wish it came in more colors.

I have extremely thick hair and while I love the look of this pin, my hair is so thick that it bends the prongs shut and I have a lot of trouble bending them back to normal to re-style my hair. I would recommend in this product to someone who has normal-thickness hair, but if you have thicker hair maybe opt for something a little more sturdy. ... show more

Love this hairpin. Often times they are not sturdy enough to hold up all my hair but this one was! Nice quality and large so it holds a lot of hair. The brushed gold finish is very pretty and I have had no issues so far. Would and have bought again.
