The lamp is very nice. The only problem I have is what several other reviewers said --- the shade is cheap looking. You can see the metal ring on shade as well as clips. I'm keeping because I have returned several lamps already and this is the best. The reason the shade is cheap is because it is rolled up and you need to clip it on metal ring. It didn’t take very long to assemble, about 20 minutes, just be prepared. This is the first lamp that I have ever bought online. Used to buy in store, where the lamps are put together. I was surprised to see that I had to assemble the lamp shade and fixture. It looks nice, I didn’t realize when I bought it that it had to be assembled. These lamps are beautiful and functional and we love them. The only thing I will tell you is to NOT use them on an extension cord. When we did the began flickering like a strobe!! Otherwise these are a winner.
