Just a little background: I have two audio systems (5.1 and stereo) as well as 3 gaming consoles, a Roku, a Blu-Ray player and so on. I have a lot of ancillary devices that make up my av system, and they're split between two very good surge protectors. A few months ago my audio systems started developing a typical 60hz hum out of nowhere, like a grounding issue. It was coming from all speakers, including the subwoofer. It was driving me up the wall. I checked the outlets with a device that shows me if the outlet was grounded or not, and they were (I had checked before I plugged the power strips into those outlets long ago anyway). Unplugging and replugging everything didn't get rid of the hum, and I was at my wit's end. I wasn't looking forward to spending the money on a power conditioner because typically they're pretty pricey and don't have a lot of outlets. Well, this one had good consumer and professional reviews and the price was right, so I figured I didn't have anything to lose. This power conditioner works very well: the hum is completely gone now. I mounted it on the back side of my entertainment center with a couple of L-shaped brackets with the outlets dangling below it. You can't see it, but I can reach behind there and turn it on or off or to reset the circuit breaker easily. It can be mounted to a wall the same way. Those little outlet extensions are great too; they give you a lot of flexibility to fit in power adapters. Item is exactly as described. Fit perfectly in the StarTech 6U rack I got. Super long power cable and the individual plugs were also just right in that they aren't rubbing against the back of the rack or all over the place. I got it mainly since i'll be hooking up all my home networking items to it as well, and not jsut my switch and router etc. Some of the items like my Philips Hue Bridge and my Lutron home hub thing has massive plugs, so this product is exactly what i was looking for. Much better than those fixed network rack power strips that dont do too well with those large plugs. Wish they had included some rack hardware (screws etc.) but no biggie. I have plenty of screws at home. I've hooked some cables to it and all in all awesome product! ... show more

However, there is one minor issue that needs attention: the extended Rack ears. Let's start with the positives. If you have a rack with a bunch of wall warts, this is the best solution I've been able to find. I am using this in a small audio rack with a presonus mixer, a wireless router, and six in-ear transmitters. (A total of 7 wall warts.) Since wall warts come in all shapes and sizes, this is the only rack mount device that allows maximum density. The only downside is that it is heavy. But, I will pay that price. The front panel switch and the front facing electrical outlets are nice features. A specialized product, to be sure, but if you need one, this is it. Well built...wreaks of quality. Way to go, Pyle! I hope you sell enough of them to make the engineering worthwhile. ... show more
