We purchased a 12 x 16 PurpleLeaf Pergola in Bronze. Shipping was very fast. It comes in 6 large, heavy boxes. The instruction booklet was clear and easy to follow. My 17-year-old daughter and I assembled most of the pergola ourselves working several hours a day over 3 days. We needed my husband's help to connect the beams, which was the most difficult part of the assembly. The parts were well packaged to limit dents and scratches. We had 2 louvres that were slightly dented and we moved them to the very first/last one and you don't even see it. After we had it all assembled, we realized we were missing the end caps that are the final step. We looked everywhere for them and determined that they were missing. I emailed the company and explained the missing parts (4 endcaps). They responded, confirmed the parts, and had the parts shipped to us very quickly. The company then followed up to ensure I received the parts and was able to complete assembly. The pergola looks great and is very sturdy. We had friends over and they gave us lots of compliments. As far as rain protection, the closed louvres provide good protection from a typical rain. However, the other day we had severe thunderstorms blow through. The structure remained steady, but the built-in gutters could not handle the torrential rain, nor did I expect it to. Mind you the gutters on our house couldn't handle that volume of rain either. Basically, it provides rain protection from the usual rainstorms, but it will not handle a torrential downpour. Looks great: Much cheaper than building a covered roof Sturdiness: I selected PurpleLeaf because of the sturdiness and snow load Size: Lots of size options and the 12 x 16 was perfect for our space Value for money: This pergola increases the functionality of our outdoor space at a fraction of the cost and hassle of adding a covered roof

I received the pergola a few months ago. I wanted to wait on my review until we had some Santa Ana winds here in LA. Jan 7 2025, we had some serious winds up to 100 mph. The recommendation from the manufacturer was to open the louvers in high wind conditions which I did. The unit held up perfectly!! I was afraid that some of the louvers would come loose but none did. So, I have to give it a 5 star review. It is a well made system. My only complaint which is the same as others is, there was some damage to it when it arrived. It's unfortunate that they have not worked that out yet. I did receive a prompt response from the affiliated seller. Fortunately I have a rubber hammer and I was able to get it back into shape or at least 98% there. I would rather not have had to do that, of course. But once it was all set up, it was a beautiful addition to my patio.

Just installed the 12x 20 pergola with LED lights. Delivery was smooth and shipped quicker than estimate. Set up was done over a week with 1-2 people working a couple hours at a time. There was an issue with a light that had a dead spot and handle to louver crank cracked. Notified seller and they were extremely responsive to replace parts and providing regular updates. Pergola is of good quality and looks great! Love it! Would definitely purchase again.

The media could not be loaded. I really had to think long & hard if I could justify spending this amount of money for this pergola. It was worth every penny! The metal is good quality. The louvers turn easily & provide shade from the sun. The LED lights look out of this world! Paid for professional assembly. 2 guys had this together in less than 2 hours. If you can swing the investment. Buy yourself one of these!

Well packaged and labeled. Communication with the seller has been excellent. All parts were in the box and each box had a list of items in that box. Directions were good. We had a team of 7 people and completed the 14 x 20 pergola in 4 1/2 hours.

The installation is ridiculous. I had a different brand pergola where it basically came all installed ready for you but this one will take you hours, it has so many pieces that you have to assemble yourself. For example-The louver is broken into narrow 118 pieces that you have to peel the film x 118 times and put each of them x118 times because they are divided into half. And I thought this was all aluminum but the louver connector is all plastic which will most likely break easily. And of course they don't even send you any spares when they give you defective/missing parts. I bought the one with LED, especially do not get this. It's better to buy your own lights because installing LED was a pain, it has a tape that doesn't stay up, the material is so cheap. Don't pay extra for additional items, I don't recommend the product at all but if you have to buy this pergola, just buy itself. And the seller is being ridiculous and will call your cell phone outside of Amazon site and keep bothering you until you say you're happy. Do not leave your phone number for devliery.
