I should have gotten this years ago... it's great. A (relatively) easy and inexpensive way to have a permanent patio/deck covering. Took around 20 hours to assemble... got it done over 1 Sat./Sun. weekend. There was a total of about ~1-1.5 hours of work where 2 people are required at 3 different points in the process (assembling the frame, holding the roof frame, putting bolts in the middle of the roof); otherwise, I completed it solo. Also, I'm slow, did not rush, and I'm not particularly "handy". If I can do it, you can, too! If installing over concrete, make sure you figure out how you're going to secure it and that you have the right tools (you really need a hammer drill... I got a corded one at Walmart for $30 that worked fine). The bolts that come with it need to be placed in the concrete securely enough so that they "catch" and can be bolted down. However, if you try to hammer them in, you must be careful not to damage the sleeve or get it caught on the edge of the hole. Anyway, it was a learning curve for me... I became a pro but only on the last bolt, of course. Overall, I highly recommend. As others have noted, Purple Leaf will contact you and make sure everything's okay. I didn't have any problem with shipping, missing parts, messing anything up and needing a replacement, etc. But I'm sure that's quite common with something like this, so the importance of having a reliable, responsive company can't be overstated.

great gazebo! Took my husband about a total of 7 hours. He did the first half by him self like assembling the posts and then we had a friend come help him screw it all together and install the roof. This wasn’t difficult but definitely need to people for the roof and to put the pieces together. I’m very happy with my purchase and we can’t wait to hangout under the gazebo for the summer!

This project definitely takes 2-3 sets of hands to complete for the 12x20 size, but overall was clear and doable in 8 hours! We are SO grateful for the customer service we received. One of the boxes was for a different size gazebo, but they shipped a new box right away and it only put us back 2 days. Their customer service agents reached out and followed up mulitple times to make sure that we received our order and that everything was accounted for. We LOVE the appearance of our gazebo! It looks high end and adds so much character to the back of our house.

I purchased the Purple Leaf gazebo back in May. It took my two friends about 7 hours to build and install it to my deck. They said the panels were a bit difficult to get in but other than that it was fairly easy. You can tell it’s made well and it looks absolutely great. 👍🤩

Excellent product, but difficult to assemble. The instructions are picture-based only, making part alignment hard to interpret at a glance. Note that the aluminum is very thin throughout the entire product. Not all roofing holes are aligned. Would I buy again, knowing what I know now? Maybe, if the cons were improved, definitely.

This gazebo is high quality and went together easily. A lot of parts and a lot of steps and takes at least two people most of the time to assemble, but directions were really good. We were missing no parts. One of the boxes came damaged (that was on FedEx) but Purple Leaf sent new box right away so we could continue. I have to say Purple Leaf customer support was the best! They emailed me so many times to offer support, checking to see if install went well and to make sure we were overall happy. You rarely see that kind of support anymore!

We received the gazebo about a week after ordering it. It came in 5 boxes. The company did send an email letting us know it was coming and how many boxes we could expect. Once it arrived, we went through every box and inventoried the contents. Nothing was bent, everything was there. We then grouped all of the screws and parts into individual plastic containers. I put a piece of tape on top of each container and marked with a sharpie what was in it; ex: #7 screws, #S, etc. This made it so much easier once we started to put it together. My husband (72) and myself (65) put it together. It took about 22 hours over 4 days from the first inventory to anchoring it onto the deck. We didn't rush it, just worked on it in groups of time. Hubby put the posts together in the garage (it was raining that day) and there was only one hiccup. One of the screws wouldn't fit into the hole as the hole had been drilled about 1/8 inch off. He redrilled it. The next day, we took the posts out to the deck and using ladders, we were able to connect it. Putting the very top tier on was a bit tricky, but I stood on the second to top rung of the ladder in the middle, and held it up while he connected and screwed it to the sides. We knew the roof would be a long day and it was. I was on the inside ladder under the roof, he was on the outside one. It wasn't hard, just a lot of parts and screws, and lining up everything. The Z clips would fall off if you didn't wiggle it in perfectly on the first try, so off the ladder one of us would go and re-connect. But all the screws and holes lined up just fine, do remember not to tighten anything until it's all done, especially the middle beam. We found that when putting the first middle pieces on, it helped to hold the first piece in with a #5, then put the second piece on top. Otherwise the two middle pieces would slide around when trying to overlap. Once done, hubby went under our deck and put up thick pieces of wood between the joists for extra support. He then used 3 inch lag screws to anchor it to the deck. Hopefully it will stand up to the winter winds we get up here. We'll see. We do have a lot of trees in our yard, and after watching a few videos regarding the gutters getting clogged and having to use a screwdriver to remove the debris, I decided to run screening along the top. I purchased 2-inch sticky screen repair (it comes in rolls) and ran that all along the top where the roof meets the gutter. Water can still get in, but the leaves and other debris won't. As you can see from the photos, pollen from the trees is already starting to get on the roof. All in all, it seems like a well built gazebo. The netting is very nice, the roof seems sturdy. We're very pleased with it.
