The Ultrasound Repellent has two frequency ranges, allowing you to use a second-level frequency that is more effective for heavy pest infestation. This 6 pack of Ultrasonic Pest Repellers are certainly easy to install….just plug them in. Since they are supposed to cover a large area, I only installed 2 in my house. The biggest problem I have is a lack of electrical outlets in the right place since they recommend installing them at about 2.5 to 4 feet off the ground. I’m not sure how their effectiveness will be affected if they are installed at different heights. Actually, it will be difficult to assess their effectiveness for me since I don’t currently have an infestation, so I’m using these as a preventive. We sometimes get field mice in the house in the Fall, so hopefully this (along with other measures I take), will prevent that this year. One definite issue is that the web write-up indicates that they use 2 different wavelengths that can be chosen by pushing a button. These units do not have any buttons on them, so I’m assuming this feature is not available with these units.

We live in a rural area surrounded by woods, so we are susceptible to mice and other infestations, especially come winter. This year was particularly bad and field mice built a nest in the lawn mower which ended up needing to go to the repair shop. So we are getting prepared this year and hopefully these repellents will help. Of course, there is no way to be certain if they are actually working, though no new infestations would be a positive sign. They seem to be well made and do not affect the dogs. $29.95 (price at time of this review) for six seems reasonable if they really make a difference. Meanwhile, they do not harm humans or animals.

From my experience it’s not really effective for fruit flies. It’s seem like the fruit flies/ flies have increased even more since I started using them. I had to unplug them due to the increase of flies

The Ultrasonic Pest Repeller Indoor, Pest Repellent Ultrasonic Plug in, Insect Rodent Repellent Ultrasonic plug in, Pest Control for Bugs Roaches Insects Spiders Mice Mosquitoes Flies Cockroach, 6 Pack was obtained to place around my outside and screened porch and my detached garage which is spider infested. I have installed them (plugged them in), and I cant say they are working but I cant say they are not working so I will wait and see if the spider webs return in full force.

I just put these in my basement and garage so can't tell how well they work yet. Just plug them in the they automatically turn on. I can't hear anything but we're not supposed to be able to. We'll have to wait and see if it deters the mice who like to creep into my garage due to a space between bottom of door and sinking concrete. It also says repeals ants. That's good. I'll have to come back and report how it does.
