This is to clear a big misconception about this product. It is NOT any more messy than any other humidifier out there. I ran it to empty and, just as I expected, the bottom reservoir had drained down an inch or so past the top so that the water basin could be removed without getting water everywhere. I suspect the reviewers who said that the bottom reservoir was full of water tried to change out the water prematurely. If you let the thing humidify until it shuts down, then you can safely change the water without making a mess. Having said that, I will add that so far this is an outstanding humidifier ... better than all the rest ... and I am VERY picky. It does the number one thing I bought it for ... it has the ability to direct the flow of humidity ... my last one shot the mist straight up, which caused puddles around the unit ... stupid. Plus, this one has a fun humidity indicator. I say FUN because that's what it is for. It is for entertainment purposes and not to be taken seriously. You can't seriously expect a humidity sensor mounted ON A HUMIDIFIER to accurately read the humidity of the room. Yet some people expect that. It is not possible. Think about it. The humidifier is spewing water all over the place. I have a humidity sensor on the other side of the room that tells me what the actual humidity is. So there is another misconception that bites the dust. There is NOTHING WRONG with the humidity sensor on the unit. All it is telling you is "Hey ... I seem to be sitting in a big cloud of moisture!" Lastly, the unit is very quiet, and is the best looking / most stylish humidifier I have found. It does its job perfectly. Build quality is excellent. It's easy to fill. There is a noticeable difference in temperature between the warm and cool mist settings. And it even comes with a remote! How cool is that!

I just received my humeXL pro humidifier. The item is beautiful and has a small footprint. The tank was easy to fill in my kitchen sink and it was nice that it balances itself upside down so I don't need to stand there and hold it while it fills. The lights and sounds on the unit are soft and not annoying. It is simple and easy to operate. I like that there is a choice for warm or cool mist, and that you can see directly see the water level in the tank from the side of the unit. I was able to remove the tank for refilling before it was completely empty with minimal spillage by shutting the unit off and waiting a few seconds before removing the partially empty tank. The tank capacity is excellent for the overall size of the unit. It is extremely quiet -- basically silent. It would be nice if it came with a cleaning brush and a descaling filter, but this is a minor quibble. Bought on Amazon for a good value. We had a similar Boneco unit previously but it was much more expensive, not as easy to fill or clean, and it was bulkier and not as sleek and refined looking. Overall 5 stars on the first day. If it lasts, it will deservingly keep them! I was provided a free filter in exchange for product feedback, but this review is of my own volition and was not required to obtain the filter.

I just used this 1 night so far but I'm am very happy with it so far. It looks really nice and modern which i like. It's extremely quiet and i love that it has a remote which has all the buttons for all the features on it. I also really like that it knows the humidity level of the room and that you can set it to a certain humidity level and just let it run by itself. I also really like the timer since I will only use this at night in my bedroom so I can just set an 8 hour timer and it will be off by the time i wake up. The night light feature is also very nice and well thought out having the light on the bottom, which doesn't make it to disturbing to sleep with. If you don't want any light the night mode shuts off all the lights except 1 tiny dim light to show you that it's on, so that's a great feature. I took off 1 star only because after my last humidifier (older pure guardian) I wanted a new one that was easy to clean and while the tank has a big enough opening to fit my hand in, it is still hard to reach all the corners especially around the cylinder tower that all humidifiers seem to have (i don't know why they don't put that off to the side or corner of the tank which would make cleaning a lot easier). Also I thought it came with a filter but it doesn't but they do offer one for free it seems for leaving a review which doesn't seem unreasonable (and did not affect this review, so hopefully they do send me one). As a bonus, i do really like the sound it makes when changing settings on it. It seems like a very thought out device so far. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Overall the product looks and feels great, controls are simple and easy to use but this belongs in the trash. Now, if it actually worked it would be worth it’s price. Both the heat and cool mist will work for 2-10 minutes before no longer producing mist. The machine continues to run and heat the water but no mist exits the device. Powered it off and back on multiple times, used different outlets, emptied and refilled water, tried it full, tried it almost empty, used both auto and manual humidity settings. After leaving it unplugged for minutes now when turned on the humidity reading goes from 42% (which matches what my Dyson and Thermostat indicate) up to 60% (set humid preference) in a matter of minutes without producing any mist. Once it reaches 60% it slowly drops back towards 42% over the course of 5-10 minutes before shooting back up to 60% and turning off again.
