I bought this for my dog as she gets a little gimpy now and then. No visible injuries though so the vet put her rimadyl. I don't like having to give a bunch of meds to her do I bought this. I couldn't tell it was doing anything but she got antsy and tried to leave. I stopped her and moved the light further way from her body and kept it moving like I was massaging her. I only did 5 min, the lowest setting. I also used it on myself as I have knee issues. She showed improvement and when I was doing myself another time she came and sat down wanting her turn. Just follow the instructions that come with it and it does great. Worked well on me also! You sometimes need to do it several times to see marked relief.

Packaged well in a nice case. I love that it came with a booklet. It does work. I used on my dog for a clover allergy rash on his butt, belly area from laying in grass & turned the red to brown. You need to use consistently every day for results. I only used once a day for 20 minutes. Also used on my hand with tendinitis/trigger finger. I have avoided surgery with regular massages. I used the light therapy for 3 days & noticed the swelling in my right hand decreased so much I could see my veins again! It’s probably been a good 5+ years my hand has been swollen. While this unit most definitely worked …I returned as I didn’t like the display with timer would time out & turn off so I had to keep pressing the button to view time left. My dogs are skittish & don’t like beeps which it does turning on or off. I found a medical grade unit that had 24 diodes with 16/660, 4/808 & 4/980. This will penetrate into muscle to hopefully relieve pain & it is bigger so can target a larger area. If you are on a budget this is a great starter unit to begin your journey into red light therapy. I first discovered this therapy at my vets office when my dog had a lick granular on his paw. A 3 session package was $160 & I had to drive there every couple days. It is totally worth investing in one of these units for the convenience of in home treatments. It is a headache to find the right one for you! I ended up finding one on another site shipped from KY. I didn’t want to deal with anything shipped outside the US if it didn’t work or I didn’t like the unit.

I received this on May 29th and started using it right away on my 17 year old chihuahua. She was waking up screaming anytime she needed to move from the arthritis in her back legs. I had to start giving her gabapentin for the pain, but that still didn’t help completely. I’ve been using this twice a day, 10 minute sessions on her back legs along with the Wuffes supplement (just started as well) and 10 days later she is no longer needing the gabapentin for the pain. I couldn’t be happier!! Waking up in the middle of the night to your dog screaming at the top her lungs in pain for 10 minutes and there is nothing you could do to quickly ease her pain was heart wrenching. So glad I found this for her!!

1. "Instructions" are poorly written AND plagiarized. First of all, it's as if they were translated by someone with really rough English...definitely not a professional translator. Secondly, they are all over the place...never getting to the levels of treatment. Thirdly, there's an ENTIRE page referring to the product as LumaSoothe...a completely different brand. Fourth, the "answers" to FAQs are lifted reviews. 3. The device is flimsy. The on/off/timer "button" is one piece and has to be pushed multiple times for anything to happen. The button itself "falls into" the device. Completely expected it to get stuck. 4. The screen turns off during use. Can't see how many more minutes are left before it turns off. 5. Yes, I put it on myself and felt the area warm up. (The device never got hot, so that's good). 6. Depending on the day you order, you may pay $20 more ($105 vs $127). 7. Bottom line: between the questionable and plagiarized "instruction" booklet and the physical quality of the device, I wouldn't use it on my cats. I ordered the LumaSoothe2 from chewy.com (amazon didn't have it in stock)...it's what I was looking for in the first place.
