  • better than buying EOTech
Color: DXP55
I have an EOTech 517 mounted on my AR and I wanted a magnifier for it, but EOTech magnifiers cost more than the holographic sights! They can range between $500-600. This magnifier is virtually the same thing, except it has a higher zoom (7x vs 3x), so it is actually BETTER than the EOTech magnifier, yet you're only paying 1/5 the price for it. You can make your own decision, but I'm not paying $400 just to have the EOTech name printed on the side. I don't seem to have a problem with the back focus, and I have 20/20 vision as well. In fact, I didn't even know I could adjust the focus on it (so the lens was in the forward-most position), and I was still able to use is just fine, as long as the target was 30yds or farther. Now that I know you can adjust the focus (the lens is now in the rear-most position), I can easily see targets 10yds away and I don't even have to focus my eye when looking at targets 30yds+, and lets be honest, you're not going to be shooting at targets that close with a 7x zoom anyway. I guess my point is that even if the back focus doesn't work 100% for you, you can still focus with your eyes. My only gripe is that you cannot adjust it, so it may not line up perfectly with your reticle, but I don't think you can adjust EOTech's either. ... show more

  • Very good scope
Color: DXP50
My only compl;aint is that the thermal scope and "normal vision" must be sighted in differently which is a bit of a pain. The scope is set for 100-400 yards for each setting in 100 yard increments so 8 different sighting in

  • Not enough back focus!
Color: DXP55
I ordered this part to go behind my Eotech XPS2-0 and it simply does not have enough back focus like another reviewer claimed for the 5x model in his review. It is a good 2 turns away from clear focus at any distance. I don't know if it's made for people with glasses or what because my vision is 20/20 and it's slightly blurry for me at the furthest back focus. It is also cheaply made and their support appears to be very lacking in that I called them and their support 'guy' (apparently they only have one??) was off for the day and may or may not call me back the next day. Needless to say, this part is being returned and I am going to try the Vortex VMX3 instead even though I would really like to have the 7x capability. I would stay away from these guys myself if I were looking for a cheaper alternative to the ridiculously expensive eotech magnifier. ... show more

  • Third time is a charm!
Color: DXP50
Purchased 2 of these. The first one worked for about 4 hours when the button used to change screen views quit working. Returned it and got another one. The screen view on the second one locked on digital camera mode when connected to my samsung pad. I could reboot the scope but each time I switched to digital camera mode it would get stuck in that screed. I returned the second one as well. This would be absolutely superb if it worked. My only complaint about the design is that the controller wheel is on the left which means that I have to reach over the scope (including the battery cap) with my right hand to operate it or grab the front stock with my trigger finger and try and operate it with my left hand which is worse since I am right handed. I have an Axion 2 XG35 imager which I love and has never given me any problems so I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. So, I tried a third time and got one that worked! Couldn't be happier with a product and gave it 4 stars because of the problems. The best features are switching between thermal and camera to make sure of EXACTLY what I am shooting at during the day, and the button to flip through the magnifications settings. I have been using it to spot game birds, then I switch to camera to see exactly where the bird is. As you probably know, the thermal image is 2D instead of 3D so it is hard to see where the bird is, as all the trees look like they are at the same distance unless they are a long way apart. ... show more
