  • Home gym must have
I originally installed this for me for upper body days and full body days BUT my husband and son have also taken a liking to this as well. There’s a leveler built into the bar to make sure it’s level and aligned it took me all of 5 minutes to put it up and it is absolutely locked in place which I love that grip is no joke. My husband is 245 lbs and can do 4 sets of 25 and that bar won’t budge. I absolutely recommend especially if you’re not trying to drill holes in your walls or you’re renting. ... show more

  • Won’t work with a standard door jam
I like the soft rubber around the bar (but some might prefer a sold bar). It’s a sold grip but has a little squishy feel. It’s neat that it comes with a level to make sure you have it flush and correct during install. Fairly easy to expand it to fit and once secure, it stays quite well. I haven’t had it slip or slide or leave major markings/indents. Here’s what I don’t care for as much: -can’t really do a very wide grip on the soft foam part of the bar. You can reach out wider but are grabbing the metal extenders and depending on how wide your hallway or door jam is you might have the secure twisting nuts in the way. -depending on which side you do the pull up on, you can accidentally loosen the bar. I always make sure I do pull ups on the direction that would cause it to tighten to be more safe. -last, the ends to provide traction to the walls are long and wide. This won’t attach easily to a normal door jam. You can risk trying to fit it, but it will stick out and is likely to slip out. That is probably the worst thing about this bar is you have to make sure you have a solid frame to mount this bar, which doesn’t leave a lot of options where other pull-up bars can easily be mounted on a door jam in most places. Overall, it’s a pretty good pull-up bar, just make sure you have a solid place to put it. You need about a 3-inch wide frame for it to properly fit. If not attached to a solid frame, it will definitely cause damage and even harm to the user and building. I will also note that it would not fit in a 27” wide door frame even when shrunk all the way down. It fit in a 33” frame just fine and could extend out further if needed. ... show more

  • Absolute game changer for me
I rent in a very old brownstone, with relatively short doorframes, and mostly low ceilings in my space. I started working out at home during covid, and presently I have no plans to change that. I had no place to do any kind of pulling or hanging, and even trying to stretch, I have been using handles on a strap, anchored over a door, to try and get some leverage for some back and spine stretching. Not needing to hook through a door frame, or drill into a wall, presented me with the option, and possibility to suspend from a bar again. I chose the spot carefully, and was careful upon install not to aggressively jar or dislodge any ancient plaster or sheetrock, under rapid pressure. I measured the gap, and then dialed in the suspension slowly. I also used a separate level. While a very novel idea, I found the pre-attached level was not really accurate when I was trying to set the bar up. It's extremely easy to set this up, by the way. I'd measure your gap, then measure your starting width of the bar to get a rough sense of how many inches of length you need to twist out of each end. You want them even. Then twist both the red locking rings off and adjust. Once you're close, set the end anchors/feet (there are preset grooves and notches that fit so you don't mess it up) and twist the bar in the direction indicated on the yellow sticker. The arrows are telling you exactly what to do. It will stop or be too hard to twist. I finessed it a bit because, as I said, old plaster. But when I couldn't twist single handed anymore I pulled down gently with increasing force to see just how close I was, then proceeded toward completion. I got it right, as I've used it for three days, a couple times a day, and so far, so good. I'm about 225# and 6'1", and I've got just enough clearance to do proper chin ups or pull-ups. This is a great device. I also like the subtle, comfortable padding. It hadn't even occurred to me how beneficial that could be after all this time away from the gym. They got it right with this one. Five stars. ... show more

  • Very strong product
Excellent quality. Easy to install and for those such as myself that are limited to space but what to get in the exercises this is a very good choice.

  • Im not a fan
The pieces that go in the door ways end up sticking to the door way after it has been up for some time. I also heard some cracking when i was putting it up so i am concerned about my door way not. Also the only door way it fit in was my laundry room, its quite large. Its bigger than i thought it would be. It does support my weight but i am concerned in using it as it did slip one time, hence the tightening and the crack. ... show more

  • Works great. Still building trust with it
Good pullup bar option for doorways where there isn't an option to have a bar that can be supported by the door trim lip. This essentially hangs by wedging between the frame and letting friction do the rest. It can be a little unnerving to use since it's just wedged in there but I haven't had any issues with it moving or shifting. I am a bit concerned that it could end up scuffing the paint or sticking to the paint. It hasn't yet but I definitely would not recommend putting this in any frame where the paint hasn't fully cured for at least a few weeks since it seems to have potential of bonding to uncured or soft paint. ... show more

  • STURDY bar but requires a solid door frame
Quality instructions and materials. This was super easy to install and worked like I expected it to. However, if your door frame is not reinforced it may cause some damage like your finishing nails protruding after cinching this down - Not the product's fault, though. This thing is great.

  • Great for Home Gym!
Great component to add to my home gym setup. Pull-ups are an important part, and the ability to habe this one fixed at different heights allows for different practical uses, more so than an anchored/permanent bar. This versatility is nice, and the bar is high quality, strong, and seems to be durable. I found it easy to install, but it may depend on the user. I don’t want to comment on grip or comfort since that is also user preference, but it works well for me. Very happy to have this, I think it’s good value, and I reccomend it. ... show more
