UPDATE: I keep waking up with numb hands/wrists because the sides don’t offer enough height for side sleeping (and I apparently try to make up for this with my hands in my sleep). This has also left me with wrist pain during the day. I will need to try something else… I’ll leave the review at 4 stars, but it’s a 3 star item for me. I’ve tried many pillows: flat, super plush, “my”, and finally a pillow with a negative space in the center. The last option was my best fit, but it’s benefits wore down quickly and the stuffing flattened and couldn’t recover. I’d often end up with neck aches and have also tried no pillow to get it to stop. This pillow is firm and I wouldn’t really call it comfortable, but I don’t wake up with neck aches. Instead, I’ve found I wake up with numb hands because the sides aren’t quite high enough for me (I guess) when I sleep on my sides, so I stick my hands under my head in my sleep. I don’t love that… but I think I’m on the right track, at least. I’m short, but my shoulders are broader, so maybe that’s the issue. If you’re having neck pain, this pillow is worth a try.

I didn’t notice the memory foam smell right away. It was when I was lying on the pillow when I got the faint whiff of the chemical odor of the foam. It was enough that I couldn’t sleep. I will let it air out for a few days. I hope the odor will be gone in time for me to evaluate the pillow’s comfort within the returnable timeframe. UPDATE: After having a fan blowing on the pillow for a few hours, the odor was less. I have used the pillow a couple of nights and, so far, I am impressed. I am a side and stomach sleeper and I have less pressure on my shoulder as I am lying on my side. It's a firm pillow and still comfortable. I hope it will be a long-term solution to my chronic neck pain.

I’ve had pillow issues for as long as I can remember. I generally sleep with a very flat outdated pillow. I bought this and can’t believe how comfortable it is to sleep on your back. The sides wing up and comfort your face to stay in position. It’s also great for side sleeping. I’m so in love with this pillow that I have already bought one for a friend.

This is not the manufacturer' fault in any way, let me be clear. This is my body's physical proportions working against me. I have a short neck and short arms and they just don't match the dimensions of this pillow. If it wasn't for that, this pillow would rate a solid 5, I took off a star because it just doesn't cool enough!
