  • Modernize the PS2 and PS1
The Guilekeys PSxMemCard Gen2 is an absolute game-changer for PlayStation 1 and PS2 enthusiasts! This memory card is a dream come true for anyone looking to modernize their retro gaming setup while preserving the nostalgic charm of playing on original hardware. From the moment I plugged it into my PS2 Slim, I was blown away by how seamless and intuitive it is to use. The setup was a breeze—pop it in, boot up, and you're ready to go, no complicated tinkering required! The included 8GB MicroSD card is a powerhouse, capable of storing over 60,000 128KB PS1 memory cards or 8,000 8MB PS2 memory cards, which is essentially unlimited storage for any gamer. I’ve been able to save every game I own without ever worrying about running out of space, a far cry from juggling multiple old-school memory cards. The card automatically detects the game you’re playing and creates a dedicated virtual memory card for each title, complete with a crisp 128x64 pixel OLED display that shows the game’s name and system status. This feature alone adds such a polished, professional touch to the experience. The firmware upgradeability via the front-facing USB-C port is a standout feature, ensuring this card stays future-proof. I updated to the latest sd2psXtd firmware without a hitch, and the performance is lightning-fast, with save and load times that rival or surpass original memory cards. The pre-installed FreeMCBoot (FMCB 1.966) for PS2 and support for FreePSXBoot on PS1 make it incredibly versatile, letting me launch homebrew software and even play games directly from the MicroSD card. The two front buttons make navigating the settings menu a joy, and the high-speed performance means no lag or delays, even with demanding PS2 titles. I also love the compatibility with both PS1 and PS2 consoles, including arcade and prototype models, which shows the thought put into making this a universal solution. Transferring saves between my emulator on PC and the console was flawless—just copy the .MCR files, and they load perfectly. The ability to back up saves to my PC for safekeeping is a huge bonus, ensuring my progress is never lost. Honestly, this card has breathed new life into my PS2 and PS1, making them feel like modern consoles while keeping the retro magic intact. If you’re a retro gaming fan, the Guilekeys PSxMemCard is an absolute must-have. It’s reliable, feature-packed, and beautifully designed, with no downsides I can find. It’s truly the last memory card you’ll ever need, and I can’t recommend it enough ... show more

  • Nice setup once you get it going
This memory card is fantastic. It works great. My only complaint is that the interface is finnicky. Other than that, I love it. Once you get used to it, it is a great solution. I'm glad it came with its own storage as well. Good value.

  • working perfect as a ps1/ps2/fmcb card
Easy to set up. FMCB loaded fast too. It swaps between cards fairly easily as well so you can use it as a mass memory card. There is no way to explain how great it is to have hundreds of cards as one. Swap from ps1 saves to ps2 to FMCB. This is the cost of one memory card but you get hundreds. It feels well made and works perfect in a ps1 or ps2. What more do I really need? ... show more

  • An Excellent Modern Memory Card
This is a great way to store PS2 game data without having to dig out old memory cards. It's a perfect solution as the included 8GB MicroSD allows for a massive amount of games to be stored on it. It plugs in just like a normal card and the physical button controls make the screen easy to navigate to change settings, such as loading up custom firmware. You can even backup save data on PC by removing the MicroSD card from the PS2 memory card and hooking it up to a PC. Can't praise this enough! ... show more

  • Works Nicely
Very useful memory card, basically the only one you need. While the menu interface isn't the easiest to navigate, it definitely does it's job. Seems well made and includes an SD card so you won't even have to dig one out.

  • Wow we have come a long way
I have a PS2 fat with HD and thought I was living large with that being modded. Popped this into a slim after some tinkering, and WOW so easy. I play a lot of retro on my PC but there's always something special about playing on the OG hardware. Highly recommended, super easy to set up and get going. If you're into retro and have the console, really the key to success here. ... show more
