I received a bad 1500 steering rack unfortunately. They said send back and once shipped another would follow immediately upon notification . I shipped and sent confirmation and of course they never shipped the new one. Now we're on three weeks of a few hour component install and they didn't even ship. Of course the operator first language wasn't English and didn't understand products or troubleshooting questions. So sad since I have ordered many parts from Detroit Axle with satisfaction. This rack and pinion was for my 2015 GMC sierra great price and shipping was fast .....most importantly this rack and pinion is lifetime warranty and I love that....Detroit axle A+ seller....5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

    • Crap parts warranty is a lie
The lifetime warranty is a LIE it’s only good for the first one after that there’s a 30 warranty hat to replace it twice in three months and pay to have it programmed and realigned both times has to send it back for a refund to only have to buy one from Chevrolet and put on and now we won’t get our original one we sent back to them for a core they said it was disposed of my a$! It was the sell remanufactured parts it got fixed and sold so now they have our part and theirs we sent back to them so now we’re stuck with a core charge plus they charge 135.00 each time they have to replace their parts on top of what we paid to get the part and their claims department service is crap!!! I don’t recommend this company to anyone the only reason I chose a star is because I had to to post this I give it zero stars ... show more

This steering rack assembly is garbage. Detroit axle fails to build a quality part and the customer service is terrible. Save yourself a headache and stay away from this brand and part!!!

    • Faulty Rack and Pinion since day one.
I been having issues with this product since I bought it. I even bought new harness and still the same. Finall got a mechanic to confirm it’s a bad rack and pinion from Detroit Axel
