I ordered this for my son to take out his frustrations on. Overall it's a good piece of equipment. I gave him some gloves and a little bit of instruction and forgot about it. A couple of years later and he has learned to punch it so hard, I'm afraid he might really hurt another kid if they get into a scuffle on the 3rd grade playground. Today he was practicing with it and he knocked the pole out of the base. He was quite impressed with himself. When I inspected it, I found the screw that clamps it to the base had worked itself loose. It is a cheap straight/Phillips head which makes it difficult to tighten down enough to feel secure. I replaced it with a longer 10mm hex head bolt (pictured) so I could use a wrench on it and now it feels very secure and much safer. ... show more

I bought this punching bag stand for my grandson. His height is about 4 ft 5in tall that worked for him because of his heights and weight. Assembled this stand was simple and easy took me less than an hour. Have to step on the foot board to keep it down as you punch the bag. The product is great and was fast to assemble. The only flaw is the balance in weight for the bottom part. Hard punching will make the bag wobble forward but It makes sense since the weight of the metal stick that keeps the bag up will up the weight with depending on how much force you put into your punches. My purchase also had one of the rings being to tight and didn’t fit the screw for the bag so constantly have to screw the bag on after each use. The media could not be loaded. This is good for light to moderate exercise. I will say that the "ball" tends to loosen as you hit it, so I have to tighten it during the workout often. It's not a deal breaker for me, but if something like that annoys you then this might not be for you. If you hit hard and tend to work out intensely then this might not be what you're looking for. I filled the base with about 48lbs of paver sand and it doesn't move for me at all, even though I place it on a towel on my tile floor. The gloves that came with it are ok, but I like using fingerless MMA type gloves so I can use my hands/fingers easily (to tighten the ball during a session, for example). I've only used this thing for a couple of work outs, so I don't know how durable the ball is from normal wear yet. I will post an update if the ball starts to show any signs of wear. Overall this is a good exercise tool to use for someone who just wants to do light to moderate exercise. ... show more

It’s great for the kids as they age, but the inflatable bag inside was MAXED-OUT and the bag is not fully inflated so it looks weird. I’ll take a picture later. I can not inflate anymore.
