My toy poodle (6lbs) and the small fit just right, only took less than a minute to blow up. He looks adorable in it and seems comfortable . He falls asleep on it like a pillow and the only thing he can’t do is jump on the couch , which he already struggles with anyway. Be sure the Velcro is in the back or it will not work correctly (they may be able to reach their wound) , his turned at first and I had it a little too loose but after I tightened it and turned it the donut did keep him from licking himself . I was having the younger of my two dogs I knew I would have trouble keeping an E-collar secured. I used an inflatable collar on the older of my two dogs and it kept him from being able to lick his incision. However he’s larger so his was too large. I got this one and it did the job perfectly. Not to mention the ooohs & aaahs and “that’s so cute” comments when I put it on him at the vet’s office. It’s easy to inflate, isn’t heavy and is quite durable. My dog played and ran around in it. For me it works so much better than the e-collars they put on at the vet’s office which I have never been able to get to fit securely enough. ... show more

He doesn't try to take it off and can move around with it. He seems comfortable wearing it. Way better than the plastic cone from the vet. Downside is it shrinks after a few hours. So changed my review to 3 stars instead if 5.

Our little jack russel kept escaping through the metal gate. We put this inflatable donut on him when he goes out and it keeps him from escaping through the fence!

    • Dog can still lick with it
I really wanted to love this product but I do not. My 10lbs Bichon frise puppy can still lick his neuter sutures with the collar on. May work better for bigger dogs but cannot recommend if you don’t want your dog to be able to touch the wounds at all. With that being said it does LIMIT licking but just warning that they still can ... show more
