This review is for the queen size protect-a-bed boxspring cover. I ordered this cover because I needed something to snugly fit my mattress so that I could then gerryrig something to keep my mattress topper on - long story. Anyway, this is the second such cover I have ordered for that purpose. The first was way too big and of poor quality. Even though this is advertised as a boxspring cover, I took a chance that it would fit my hybrid mattress. It does! I believe my mattress is about 12 inches deep (11 1/2 if you go by the depth of the sides without tuft) so, I guess it’s not much deeper than the advertised depth, but it fits fine. Stretches to be snug, but not too tight. So it worked out for my purposes. The fabric is a thin jersey weave polyester. There is no lining, so I don’t think it can be considered an allergy cover, especially since I would be concerned about the fabric getting pulls in it. But it goes on fairly easily, washes well, and the quality of the stitching is good. I do want to note that with both covers that I have gotten, strain while putting on or off has resulted in a ripped seam at the zipper top. But since the last cover I had ripped in a way that made it useless, this cover can be repaired/reinforced. So you need to be careful to not stretch too hard when putting on and taking off. This cover has a very large zipper opening , so it should be fine with a little care. I was able to put this on and off myself fairly easily, but it would be easier with two people. Overall, I highly recommend if this cover needs your objectives. ... show more

It was not at all easy to install but I don’t think it’s the product. It’s the fact I’m old. It would be much easier with 2 people. Box spring very heavy to move around so you need. 2 people.

My box spring is 12" and this seems a better fit for 14"-16" but it covers up some old water stains that are sore to bare eye. It has zipper all around the perimeter for an easy installation. The material feels durable to last for a long time.
