Purchased this heater because the title stated indoor/outdoor. When I received it, in bold letters it states outdoor only! When you read farther down in the description it states that if it's used indoor it has to be ventilated with an open door or window. The title to the advert is very deceptive! Using this heater in an enclosed area would be very dangerous as well as harmful to your health! ... show more

    • It's good for the price but not terriffic
For the current price of $100 this is a good bargain. It puts out great heat! I have no issues lighting the burner. Easy to assemble, I needed no instructions. On the downside the metal is thin and flimsy. I as others received mine with minor dents. Overall I can't complain but it's not high quality, but priced fairly accordingly. Without having anything currently on the market I can't give a fair comparison but this is not bad for the price. ... show more

I have mixed emotions about this propane heater. It seems to heat well. That said, there were things that gave me pause during assembly and during my initial use. On arrival, there was a small dent in the top of the unit. I’m not necessarily worried about the aesthetic shortcoming, but I think it’s reflective of the quality of metal the unit is made of. The assembly instructions aren’t particularly good or clear, but assembly was easy enough that I got it figured out. The directions implied I would need a few screws to attach the wheels, but I only needed one for the fifth wheel, which I hadn’t even noticed in the assembly directions. It goes on the back of the semi-circular fold flap. The regulator hose doesn’t naturally secure to the unit as well as I’d like, and I found myself needing to retighten it. The thing that concerned me most was the discovery of a small loose screw inside the unit during assembly. Once I began using the heater, I noticed the screws attaching the piece that disperses heat were poorly attached with one missing. The missing screw turned out to be the one I found inside the unit. While it was an easy repair to adjust and tighten these screws, it’s upsetting to see signs of lazy work in a device meant to carry flames, and it makes me concerned what shortcomings might be present inside the unit. Also, the propane flames come uncomfortably close to the outside of the grate when the heat is on high. The rear piece that helps keep the propane tank fit around the tank with a bit under ½ inch gap around it, and it was easy to install. I wouldn’t expect it to hold up to much abuse, and it isn’t very snug, but no heater should be put through abuse, so I think that is fine. Overall, this seems to be an okay unit, and I do intend to use it in open spaces, but I would rather see better craftsmanship from something that can so easily start a fire and put people in danger. ... show more

He’s overly excited! He had to give it a test run! We own a lot of rental properties and one property in particular is a three-story nine Plex, the lower level is two store fronts and the back is a huge garage/workspace…. That’s where he gets busy at with all of his work… when he’s not working his real job. Where we live it gets really cold. He gave it a test run and he said, “it’s absolutely perfect, It’s better than the one that he has been using the last several years.” (which bought at a local retail store.) He took a clip and some pictures but I’m just waiting for him to text those to me so I can do an edit and add the clip and the two pictures that he took. He said, “he is highly satisfied, that it’s made exceptionally well and he highly recommends it!” ... show more

On the first use the regulator hose was defective and as soon as I hit the ignition switch the entire unit burst into flames. Luckily my propane tank was half used and ran out of fuel before the tank exploded.

    • Very Useful
This portable propane gas heater has a shelf to mount the propane tank and a set of casters to make it easy to move around. It has adjustable burn rates to make the propane last. It is easy to light and use. It has safety features. I like being able to get some to where I am working.
