  • Outstanding water filter - with some caveats
Size: 3 Gallon Style: One 7" Filter
This is a wonderful, simple mechanical water filter that lasts and doesn't come with high maintenance costs. Coming from an Aquatru (that somehow stopped working after a few months, even after I had replaced every single part), I appreciate the better value and simpler setup. The water comes out tasting pretty good, too. Overall, we prefer the Proone Big+ to the Aquatru. Here's what you should know, though: 1. The system comes with up to three filters (configurable during purchase). The tank is always the same, the point of the filters is that you'll get filtered water at greater speed. How many filters should you start with, you ask? It depends on your family size and consumption. But it's absolutely possible to just start with one, then buy more later if needed. 2. Know that this filtration system is slow. We're using a one-filter setup, and you're getting roughly one drop of water per second and filter. We're a family of seven and get all of our drinking water and most cooking water from this. I'm considering getting a second filter, but for now, we're taken care of. In order to make it work with one filter, we're ignoring the manufacturer recommendation to let the top tank empty into the bottom tank completely before refilling. The only purpose of this recommendation is to avoid overflows of the clean water tank. We haven't had any spills so far, but getting enough filtered water requires regular monitoring of the water levels in both tanks. Without the optional transparent spigot, this requires picking up the tap water tank a few times a day to check both levels. Plus, you have to remember fill up the tank at night to give the system time to filter enough water for the next morning over night. Nevertheless, considering how slowly this filter works, it is really working surprisingly well for us. 3. Before you buy the Big+, consider your tap water supply and the system's height. This filtration system just may not work in some kitchens or settings. It's about 2 feet tall, so it may not fit on some countertops, and it ideally needs its own permanent place in the kitchen (near the sink). And consider how you're going to refill it. You can't just take the tap water tank to the sink like a bucket, because it would drip and you might get the bottom dirty (which is the top of the clean water tank). Rather, you have to fill the system from the top. This works best when your system is located by the sink and you have the kind of faucet that can be extended by 2 feet. In our kitchen, the Big+ is sitting 10 ft from the sink, and we're using large thermos bottles or cook pots to refill it. Which is working fine for our purposes, but it's something you should be aware of. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Size: 3 Gallon Style: Brushed Stainless
Love this! The peace of mind knowing it’s filtering out PFAS, lead, harmful bacteria AND microplastics is worth every penny! Love the look too. There’s 2 adults in our household but we live in a hot climate and drink a lot of water. We use two G3 filters and they didn’t noticeably slow down (need replaced) until after 10 months! We usually fill the tank up before bed so it’s filtered and full when we wake up. We switched to a nice glass pitcher for water in the pitcher- NO MORE PLASTIC!! 🙌 Water has clean taste, no odors. If you have the counter space - go for it! There’s no rust either, after a year living by the ocean. ... show more

  • I'm drinking more water!
Size: 2.25 Gallon Style: One 5" Filter
We decided to get the ProOne water filter system because of the specifications. We have well water with a really high iron count causing the water to be brown and smelly. This filtration was actually better rated than the Berkey so we went for this brand. I love that it is made in my home state of Michigan, too! Looks great on the counter and easy to use! The spout is strong and durable. It took a while for the first round to filter and we were almost going to send it back. I'm glad we stuck it out. It works quicker and we always have healthy, delicious water available! ... show more

  • Trash.
Size: 2.25 Gallon Style: One 5" Filter
My Pastor had one of these. His works really well. But he got it about a year ago. The company, and several others, have sense been purchased by Culligan. Culligan makes the filters now. I did online research, tried everything- the filters are no good now. It would not drain water. The after 6 hours it still only filters about 10% of the tank. Followed instructions, cleaned ad rinsed the filter several times. Zero improvement. Great product once, but now they are useless. Don't purchase. You will regret. Formerly excellent company, now totally trash, no good. ... show more

  • Super Happy With This Water Filter!!
Size: 3 Gallon Style: Brushed Stainless
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this for a while now and I’m honestly really impressed. The water tastes super clean, and I love that it filters out so much — chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals — without needing electricity or plumbing. It was easy to set up, looks great in the kitchen, and the all-in-one filters are super convenient (no priming!). If you want safe, great-tasting water with zero hassle, this thing’s a winner. ... show more

  • Good product sometimes
Size: 3 Gallon Style: One 7" Filter
So I love this product. However the first one I received was missing parts and the 2nd had a broken spout. However once you get a working one it’s fantastic

  • Works as expected
Size: 2.25 Gallon Style: One 5" Filter
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Berkey and this one works great. Very easy to set up. I had to filter the water through several times before I could tell a difference in the taste. But now that I've had it for a little over a week, the water tastes fantastic. I got the smaller traveler because it's just myself and my son and was concerned about the amount of water I would need and this seems to be perfect for a family of two. ... show more

  • Ordered this as a backup
Size: 2.25 Gallon Style: One 5" Filter
I bought this to have a backup if ours ever stops working... Pro-One [at this time] has stopped selling this gravity filter system. It's one of the few kitchen items we use CONSTANTLY, and we've given them to all our children. I will especially miss their Pro-One filters with silver in the ceramic because it's antibacterial and it removes fluoride. I hope they start making them again. ... show more
