    • Well made hobbyist tripod with great warranty
I've been using this tripod for almost a year now. It's been stable and strong enough for my large spotting scope, used for both wildlife watching and stargazing. It's stood up to rain storms, ocean mist and general hard use and been up to everything I've handed it. That is until last week. I was moving it out of the nightly ocean mist & fog under an awning late at night. I set it down (nothing attached) and didn't realize one of the legs had folded in while I was moving it. The tripod slammed to the ground, snapping off the center tube. Completely my fault. Contacted ProMaster and was told it has an unconditional 1 year warranty. Even though I'd bought this on Amazon, I took it to a nearby stocking dealer and they quickly swapped it out over the counter for new one--no questions asked!
